1)how much for the rev/speed meter?

2) I don understand how to increase the boost of the standard turbo,can anyone help me?

3) the meter read redline is 7.5K rpm, it is true? feel that my car not much power after 6K rpm, normal?

really appreciate help from u guys, especially alvinpck who introduce me to this page.
 
original GSR will have a peak horsepower at 5500rpm
anything over than that u will lose power!

yeap...redline is at 7.5k rpm...bout losing power after 5.5k im not sure....

anyway, i dun peak my rev till redline too.... :lol:
 
normally drag till....6.5k rpm then change gear liao....no point rev till da engine cut then shift gear

APEXI rev speed meter cost rm6XX new 1 lar

wat u dun understand abt increase boost....like yo current 0.5bar then increase it to 0.8 bar n tat is call up boosting or increase boost loe...

can achieve wt boost controler manual or electronic....n wastegate

well brand new RSM should cost u somewhere around RM600+- kua... i think so hehehe...

power band? hmmph u would have to do a dynno in other to know wherebout is ur peak powerband... as for my car i noticed the powerband will rise until 6800rpm+ abit then will start to drop.... so wht i do is i set my rev cut at 7000rpm.... everytime i hit near there i shift....
 
Guys, how does a downpipe actually work?Does it give any gains in terms of performance or hp or is it just for show nia (the noise it makes..)?How much is it roughly for one and any good recommendations?

hmmm downpipe actually gives u better exhaust flow only... it does not make any noise at all... i think the noise that u mentioned would be "wastepipe" instead...

which 1 you are running now? ofcourse ya can feel your power peak at 6800rpm u using td05 lah, we small potatoes still on td04, beside speedzone and u lah.

mircrotech is standalone, while smt6 is piggy bag ecu, it adds on to your exisiting ecu.

for the speedcut issue, another cheaper way, go to amoil, get their pivot speed limited, which cost 280rm including installation, eliminate speedcut and have some other readings.

ah wing, i got my hks evc 3 already, but having some problem with it, secondhand stuff, abit regret, anyway to be honest, dont get any second hand eletronic boost controller, get a new 1, ksp at sunway is selling blitz dsbc single solenoid for 930rm last i check. assuming they still have stock now. get that. downpipe is just a pipe exiting all exhaust, bigger pipe better flow, if you are boosting high lah. there is 2 type of downpipe which i came to know, 1 is your normal gsr downpipe, which u can ask any exhaust shop to make you, only diff is the diameter, 2", 3" or perhaps 3" as well, another type is the 1 with an external pipe outlet.

all gsr stock boosting is at 0.6++bar, if it's boosting under that, check all your actuator hose and stuff. might be leaking somewhere.

hey don lar mentioned small potatoe ler... fren fren no such things as potatoe one... accept for fench fries we eat at mcds hehehe

which one am i running now?? still using the E6K boost soleniod lol.... preset low boost at 0.6Bar and high boost at 0.9bar.... the original fuel regulator givin problem... thats y staying at 0.9bar below the 1bar safe limit... but after changing the fuel regulator... now the engine can take it until 1.3bar...

Carisma (dennis) & Soon; thanx to u 2 guys for da enlightenment on da downpipe issue :) hhmm.I dunno ler but I usually hear some loud noise from the turbo cars around my neighbourhood when they tekan their cars. Quite loud the noise and I kinda like it :lol: B) Soon, what do you mean by 2 types of downpipe? Care to elaborate more? :rolleyes: :blink:

those are wastegate sound.

take a manual boost controller also nice,save budget.....get a trust TVVC manual boost controller.so far is the most chun boost controller i ever seen.....pay www.e-kereta.cjb.net a visit.they still left 1.

if wanna view how TVVC look......go to yahoo n type trust TVVC.

i suspect your neighbour is either having a wastegate or the external pipe connected with your downpipe, when we come out to yamchar then i tell you, hard for me to explain it in here.

no worries hehehe... well the last time i send the car for tuning.. i didnt have the fuel regulator readied... and there was some problem wiff the stock one... so my fuel pressure was only enough for not more than 1bar thus i set it at 0.9bar onli... didnt really have the chance to set it at 1.2bar... d:)
