Most of our engine parts still contain ferrous materials. You'll be surprised to see the amount of metal shavings attracted to the magnet. This drain llug will attract small metal particles that are floating within the engineoil and prevent them from causing harmful damages. It will help to keep the oil clean and prolong the life of the engine.

Why we can't use other magnets?!
Neodymium magnets are very strong relative to their mass, but are also mechanically fragile. Like other ferromagnetic materials, neodymium magnets lose their magnetism above a temperature known as the Curie point. But the most powerful grades lose their magnetism at a relatively low temperature: 80 degrees Celsius (176 degrees Fahrenheit) and above. High-temperature grades will operate at up to 200 and even 230°C.

The grade of the neodymium magnet used on the tip is N42SH which is very strong. The higher the number, the stronger the pulling power of the magnet. Most other neodymium magnets have only NXX without the SH rating. SH stands for Super high temperature and that means it can heated up to 150°C without losing any magnetic power. Normal neo magnets (like our hard disk magnet) will begin to lose their magnetism at 80°C which is our operating engine oil temperature.

---

Size: similar to 10 sen coin, nearly 1''. About quarter inch thick.

Materials: Triple plated with Zink Neodymium magnet.

Strength : Pulling power is more than 13kg rated!

Special characteristic : Can be heated up to 150°C without losing its magnetism due to SH rating. Much Stronger than FilterDot (but FilterDot's magnet is encased in metal casing and resin for protection). Had a hard time to separate these magnets stacking up together (nearly got panic hehe) and be Warned!
, it can snap and injure your fingers. Buy more than 1 to see and experience yourself! Separators will be provided for multiple items purchase. Satisfaction guaranteed!!

Any engine will produce some sun-micronic metal shavings or particulates.

Sub-micronic finely distributed iron particles act as a co-catalysts in oxidation of petroleum molecules.

Removal of these fine iron particles from oil circulation, reduces the oxidation rate and therefore extends lubricant service life and reduce the engine's wear and tear rate.
