Last 2 week bought a cf fender with heavy chip off (size of 2x2cm) gelocoat and crack at a bargain.
Using 2 part super clear resin and hardener at 1/10 ratio manage to repair the chip off part.
Didn't take the picture on whole procedure but basically
Clean the damage area-->Mix the resin --> Paste a handfull amount of resin on the defect and surrounding area-->sand off 400/800/1200/2000 grit-->polish and wax.wallah shine like new.
Anyway i miss some part,supposely need to grind all the surrouding area only put the resin.
I'm a cf lover btw,have lips bumper fender bonnet.haha

Yes not structural damage since the weave still in good order...see pic below for reference...any paint shop to recommend or any paint shop can re-apply the lacquer layer?

Any place to repair the gel layer? Its already hurts my eyes with 1 big chip mark...i wish to remove & recoat the clear layer if possible but dunno do-able or not![]()
