toyota trueno 4AZGE black head piston???

hi all to the toyota sifu out there,

happy new year! btw,does this black head piston really exist? and what's the bore and stroke for his type of piston? what's the different between this piston and the normal 4AZGE supercharger piston?

confused as well... do u mean that the engine head is black or the piston top is black?

i know of black piston tops (surface), see them almost all the time.. bcoz got carbon mah :lol: :lol: hahaha

ok ok, seriously maybe the one u've been referred to is a type of low compression pistons with special coating. i dunno wat or how u may have heard the story, but to my knowledge all GZE pistons come coated with ceramic from the factory. whether or not this black coating u're talking about is the stock ceramic coating or some aftermarket type (kevlar? :o).. i cant be sure.

i assume the topic has no typo and u ARE talking abt GZE pistons. so my best guess is, that somebody told u abt pistons that are already sent for additional coating OR a whole new set of aftermarket pistons with black coatings that are not from Toyota. However im not a forced induction user myself so my guess is as good as any. i think real SC users would be able to answer ur questions better. :) paging for Blackhowling, hammett or toyota03!! hehe

If I remember it correctly, AE92 and AE101 GZE piston is ceramis coated lor...
You can load this piston nearly 2 bar provided the air fuel ratio is KOREK.. Tried that b4 and no problem..

Another frend of mine in Pandan Indah mode his Mitsu turbo with this piston but I am not sure which type of engine lar ( 4G93T or others) but very fast..

What u wanna mod with this piston??

If i not mistaken black top pistons was same size with 4agze. 81 bore x77 stroke. Its 5 valves na high comp piston then 4agze got 2 type of diff pistons. early in the manufactured 145hp 4agze piston is 8:0:1 low comp with coating and then latest manufactured 160 and 170hp 4agze piston is 8:9:1 low comp with coating too.

thanks for replying! i'm so sorry to make you guys confusing... actually i mean just the piston top is black not black top AE111 piston... :lol: i'm looking for this type of piston...anyone got it? my frens told me that trueno AE92 supercharger got this type of piston but when i open the head and see,the top of the piston like any normal GZE piston,no black colour on the top of the piston... ;)

normally black on top can get from ppl running rich engines lor :lol: take the pistons with lots of carbon on top, should be really black liao :lol: hahahah

that one is carbon coated.. quite similar to ceremic coated how ever, carbon coated piston will give u more BOOST cos compression increased. ahahahaha

psssssttttttt i heard a little birdie told me brand new ae101 4agze piston 0.5mm overbore is less than RM 1.2k with piston rings .. but dunno still got stock or not ... :rolleyes: B)
