thinking of buying white bulb, any sifu expert in this?

was thinking to buy a white bulb, coz my current stock one hardly to see anything on road when it comes into dark road which without road lamp...so i have to highlight to see the visibility, sometimes i even tot i din on the headlight, then when turn, it's already on....so wanna invest something on my head light....but cant afford HID lah....so need u guys to suggest how to choose a good white bulb, which can shine brighter and and white enuff...as well as can last longer, duwan few month o half yr then edy konk...i hear philips good...any comment?.. price dun over rm250...coz dun have $ lah...any product u guys recommend, tell me the price and where to install as well...coz duwan kena con....every cent toks :P... thx alot

ur stock wan is yellow in color and u say u harld see the road...if u change to white bulb...it worse...Phillips is good but still can beat ur stock light la....except u invest in HID.....

erm..can try PIAA bulb..it's worth it for u to buy coz price is reasonable..around rm340..

standard car is 60/55w socket.....if u upgraded to 100/90w or higher...u gotta get a set relay....to support it......ekekeke

another question... the plug and play white bulbs comes with Hi/Low beam or only the nromal beam??... if not means we use back the yellow halogen one for high beam??... or terus no high beam at all??

the cheaper way to increase brightness is upgrade to 90/100 (H4) bulb lor but need to upgrade hardness and add relay that cost 50 - 80 .......

My though is nvr spend anything higher then 100 for Halogen bulb .....
Cause it burn anytime ......

There are a few basic types of lights :

- Stock (Yellow 60w halogens)
- 100w halogens (need to upgrade wiring or use relay)
- HID (costs a lot but worth it.. not sure if legal or not)
- Xenon bulbs (good too, but expensive as hell)

Bro, it might be a better investment to just get fog lamps. :D

oh btw, contact KHGUAN one of the DIY seefu, he has changed his lights to 100w without a relay.. changed wiring only. Simple DIY really!

i oledi install the philips diamond vision5k,the outcoming white is satisfied but when u drive during nite its have poor vision compare to those yellow original bulb,if HID will solve those proble coz HID have 3 time brighter n 5 times longer life compare to halogen bulb,actually those white bulb price range got much different,normal white bulb as i c in the market from rm20~rm100,but philips cost need rm220++,just becoz of the out put is small,just 60/55w oledi can go color 5k,so the lifetime is more longer than 100/130w or 100/90w,depend ur budget,if allow just go HID..if low budget get philips

If u refer to the HID, there wil stated the life of the HID bulb

if ur HID is high beam n low beam....the bulb itself oso damn expensive oledi...depends on how many "k" la d bulb...if u see at GC motorsport, Sg.wang branch....rm900++ for one bulb....12000k one la i guess....coz my fren bought from there before

Bro, how old is you car already ? What kind of headlight is your car using ? Reflector type ? Projector type ? or normal wan.

Sometimes its not the bulb's fault. Its our headlight casing or the reflector problem. Over time, the reflector surface inside or outside will get dull or get chirp away by tiny stone that hit our headlights. This will also affect the brightness. Maybe you have to use PlasX or Autosol to polish your headlights.

The same problem goes to my girl's car. I help her polished her headlight twice and replace the old bulbs. Now she claims that its much brighter than be4. She is using normal yellow colour bulb also.

yeah, what titanrev, huakenny and iszo said are corrent to my experience.

cheap white colour bulb looks cool, but useless especially during rain. my suggestion get a 100W H4 bulb (yellow) about RM25 per piece..new wire harness about RM20 (RM50 for dual headlamp type) and a set of foglamps like those on wiras...... works like magic. cheap2 only about RM40 per set.

dont forget to look at the reflector, if its no more shining inside i suggest u change headlamp unit. otherwise change bulb like throw money into drain...
