sony sub good?

heheh i just checked the specs..now i haf to check out the sub...

but if u dont mind me asking..wat the market price? and can u suggest me an amp that i can pair it with?

i might go hunting tml...eheh

hmm.....
u can't know how to sub sound like by looking at the spec lorr
its best u go over to eneos 1U and test the sub
if u like it, u buy it.

the sub only 100W RMS, any 2 channel amp can power it.
if u plan to get 2 piece
then get a 2 channel amp which have at least 200-300 RMS when bridged to one channel.
then wire the sub parallel then can power it liao.
Why 2 channel amp? becuz 2 channel are cheap mahhh....

1 good sub is going to be louder than 2 or few lower end subs, the compVR is 400W RMS and 800W max, L5 is 600W RMS, L7 is 750W RMS, and L7 within the top of SPL, listen to one you will know

yes very loud.
loud till i can't hear my music
that's why i give it to my mom, who loves techno.
my mom too find it too loud for the CVR,
we have to resolve using 8ohm to run that sub. even then the sub still freaking loud. hehe~~~

when i bought the sub, i tot it was bang for buck, becuz its so loud for a RM6XX sub.
but sadly, i can't hear my music.....
kicker sub probably for those who really wanna crank up the bass until the ppl in the car cannot breath, hair flying, facial flesh moving, ear drum breaking.
or probably break the car glass.

yeah, its damn loud, that why it is for SPL setup, if you are going for L7, your front stage must also be SPL setup otherwise cant hear the music, eh your mum very modern leh...hehehe

hahaha really that loud??? i've gotta go check out the sub...!

but one minor questions..wats the diff between the 2/4/8ohm??
sorry! im still blur in the ICE field..

ohm....is something related to physics.....for example a pair of 4 ohm speakers, if you parallel wired them, they will become 2 ohm and draw double power from the amp, likewise if you series wired them, they will become 8 ohm and draw half of their power from the amp

someone correct me if wrong:emoticon_U:

thanx for the info bro k2000!

erm...can i ask another question? it has been buggin me fr sumtime..

SQ and SPL rite?? is there like a certain tuning that can be done to achive these 2 'settings' or i need to get the right equipment...?

sorry arh fr the noobish questions..

SQ got SQ equipment, SPL got SPL equipment, but how good the SQ/SPL will still depend on installation/tuning, some brand like kicker/soundstream is for SPL, others like JL audio, genesis, those are for SQ, however, those good product even they are mainly for SQ, they are also good at their SPL, vice versa

If u only wanna get a unit of 12' Sub, below RM700 , U can consider Pegasus Sub.
It definately can hit 137DB.. Cos it won IASCA award before .. min required is 135DB so is definately proven loud enough .. hehe!

erm...pegasus?heard of it b4..didnt know their subs are loud..

so..i'll be considering kicker's subs..and maybe JBL...

yeah lorr, my mom very modern lerr hehe....
gotta get her a pair of kicker component for front and back also....
see if she still can't hear the music hehe....

you can go with a single sub. I would recommend the kicker CVR for that. L5 and L7 are way out of your budget. If you would consider other brand then you should look at the Adire Shiva. Highly recommended but requires a large enclosure.

single sub enuf? i dunno la..abit like..unbalanced rite?hehehe

how big enclosure?i wanna fit it into a wira..wats the dimensions?

thanx!
:cyclops:

it requires around 1.5 - 2 cu.^3. A single shiva will be enough. If you have extra in the future then you can always add anouther one.

look here. http://www.adireaudio.com/Mobile/ShivaSeries.htm
Maybe you can go with the 15" if you think a single 12" wont be enough for you.
