If you have RM300, please consider some used better sub compare to this one.
I would say this sub is a 'show'...that's all

Sony subs neither will perform in SPL or SQ. You should look at other options other than the xplod series.

last time there's a sony demo van in town and sure enough i checked it out. It has 4 X 12" and i think 4 sets of component with PS2 and monitor inside. When i finally had the chance to listened to their sound system..... i was disapointed. 4 subs should be way loud than that and if you say it play SQ i didnt hear it at all.

sony is bad in car audio last time, now they improve, the 5 angle star sub and amp should be not bad, last time those round sub and funny amp all just crap, but still, prefer other brand than this, for RM600 maybe a bit more you can get kicker liao

your budget is RM 600? my suggestion is 1 X new kicker compVR, or 1 X 2nd hand kicker L5/L7, those are dual voice coils, you may just parallel and down to 2ohm, and look for an amp that stable at 2ohm to power them

maybe JBL CS-10 sub is for u.
i just bought one yesterday installed in my car
it cost me RM320 for 1
and all i can say is, it beats sony P5 sub. SQ and SPL kaka....
the sub only rated 100RMS but it hit harder than sony. ;p
i was goin to buy that sony P5 becuz its very cheap, and look very nice.
only RM3XX. but when i tested both of the sub in my car using same box and amp, JBL wins hands down.
cheaper, better!

Sorry, but i think sony P5 sounds like those mohawk larr haha....price also around mohawk range ;p
No offence to K2000, i do have a 12" kicker CVR in my waja, and it sounded very boomy. good for techno, but when it comes to pop and jazz, this sub fail kao kao.... maybe tuning is not good.

If techno is your ball park, then get CVR. If u love R&B, and a variety of songs, try JBL CS-10. value for money....lots of nice bass from a small sub.

U can get the JBL sub in eneos 1u or metro prima.
RM320 is the lowest price u can get.

1 good sub is going to be louder than 2 or few lower end subs, the compVR is 400W RMS and 800W max, L5 is 600W RMS, L7 is 750W RMS, and L7 within the top of SPL, listen to one you will know
