Review on recent Caliber 2000W 4-Ch Amps??

Don't say like this mate, atleast this an ori amp, only is outdated model. As you cannot see this model on their website. That's you can get it cheap. If you buy a tikus one, it might be imatation, like this some more not worth. I use my 2ch Caliber to power my 4 speakers(2 JVC and RF component), no problem at all. What you expect from a rm200 amp?

i din expect much la...for 300 amp...is okay la...
got $ than upgrade agn
satisfied wat howie did my ice
any1 wana do their ICE installation..
he is the recommended installer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow..look like u so professional..haha
so now u tell me whether to set it 4ch or 2ch since he wan to install 2 ch for component and bridge 2ch for sub..

Nonono, friend, I'm not a pro, still learning. Since I don't have a 4 ch, is hard to me to say. Anyway does that amp is same as what I put in this thread?
Assuming is yes, 1st 1 will do is to make sure which RCA input is to which speaker output. Maybe it will be wrong from factory, who know's? Then set the seletor to 4 channel. For sub one put selector to sub and speakers to full. I think this will solve the problem.

that's wat i done...thanks..
actualy i found out the 2/4ch selector is for the rca input..like say if u got only 1 pair rca running full freq, then u can select 2ch, it will bypass the signal to the other 2ch..so u just need 1 pair rca to run the amp at 4ch..
but if u got 2 pair rca running with diff freq, then u need to select 4ch cos it will separate 2ch each and then u can make ur adjustment thru ur HU,preamp or
e-crossover for different ch....see the difference? it's not mean for select the bridge mode..every amp can auto bridge when u connect it in bridge mode..only 1 model i know which cant do auto bridge which was from an sony..a few years back model..that's the 1 i saw b4..the others brand never..but maybe my world is too small...

Haha, learning through internet... I also learn 1 liao, so the selector is actually for RCa input. Before this I think it is meant for output.

select "sub" instead of full where u are connecting the sub and then adjust the LP filter to filter out the voices and other high sounds. select "full" for the components and the LP filter will not be used. only use "full" for both sides when using external filters like electronic crossover or HU inbuilt LP/HP

Sorry aaa..dont mad..U just select wrong switch. Based on your story..the car owner HU just have 1 pre-out & he need all 4ch working. You should use Y cable instead use 2/4ch switch. From then U can easily chose either front/rear (amp) or Bridge it to drive sub. U must switch it to sub & adj the LP filter. The voice came out due to "Full" switch is on & at the same time LP/HP filter deactivated or off (auto switch off when Full has been selected).

To Tron07, the amp spec:
4ohm : 75W X4
2ohm : 110W X4
bridged at 4ohm : 180W X2
bridged at 2ohm : unknown, the manual never state.
If I not mistaken, this amp is selling in Lelong now. Last time I bought 1 2ch, so the manual also state the 4ch specs.

Spec is just what the marketing guys want to tell you.

Normal HU spec also got 60X4 nowadays, so why got people so stupid go and buy amp that cost thousands and only got 50X4 specs?

Well, I only put out here what the manual state there. But if the manual is cheating people, then who will be right?

60x4 actually peak power.. in RMS only around 10 to 20wRMS....U also can hear the diff before & after using amp..smart guy always make right choice for long term Investment but still have good guys chose short term 1....dun no why..? :questionm

well..do preamp can temporary solve my prob tat vocal come out
from the sub?

later got $ than buy an active crossover lo..

As I said the cheaper way use Y cable coz your amp has built in crossover, Why need to invest on pre-amp some more after that e-cross...smart guy or good guy ..long term or short term ...everything depend on you....YOUR MONEY maaa.

Thats why I say tell me the fuse rating, and I can calculate the rough power of the amp, dont alwasy look at the specs. The amp manaul can put the peak power as ratings or even measure it at 1kHz sine wave, while when you pump 50hz wave, it will become out of breath liao.... 50% or more of the power gone already

u think i first time install ice? or i first time install a 4ch amp?
let me tell u...the built in low pass filter cant filter out the vocal voice on the sub..u got it?
i had selected the SUB and the LPF had set to lowest frequency..ya, the bass more soft now, but it still come out with vocal...
pls test on the amp first then baru say i select wrong switch..thanks
:P
