Aduh...
How many times have I got to say this. Or, do you just don't read what others post?
Fact 1: Fernando Alonso and Pat Symonds, both from team Mild Seven Renault publicly stated that the Renault was a match for the McLaren at Suzuka, irrespective of fuel loads, etc. Just the pure pace of the car. The cars were quite equal. The fastest lap posted proves this as it is done when the cars are low on fuel.
So that alone refutes your claim already. Unless you think you know better than they do.
Fact 2: I thank you for pointing out the heavy fuel load. Which puts Raikkonen's performance in an even better light. I don't remember exactly how much time is taken out of your lap time per kilo of fuel. Raikkonen had 4 or 5 laps of fuel more than Alonso. That's a big handicap and yet he could keep up with Alonso.
Fact 3: Raikkonen had another handicap because of his short 7th gear. Which kept hitting the limiter and robs him of top speed.
GT3, look, Alonso did a great job and had a great drive. He was unlucky with the FIA and yes it probably cost him the race. Nobody is refuting this fact. But you've got to get your facts straight.
You are well entitled to your opinion that Alonso drove better at Suzuka. So do we, and I have a load of fact to back it up. Not just my opinion.
Cheers
