bro, need advice on wiring 2 amps for my system.

HU DEH-P4750MP with 1 RCA rear,
2 amp - 4 ch amp for front and rear speakers
- 2 ch amp for woofer

i have this things but currently im confused on how to wired them..

any suggestion out there?? :tee:

you can use a pre amp, or better still get a active crossover. should be able to connect those amps.

Get a pre-amp, since your HU got only one, unless you don't want much control on your system.
To wire up, you can :

1. HU>pre-amp > 4channel amp (front) > speaker
> 4channel amp (rear) > speaker
> 2channel amp > woofer

or
2. HU>pre-amp > 4channel amp (front) > speaker
> 2channel amp > woofer

Normally a pre-amp got 2 input (1 for radio and 1 for CD) and has 3 output (1 sub, 1 front and 1 rear). If you want to control your fader, then 1. applied, if not 2. will be applied.

Diferrent between pre-amp and eletronic crossover is pre-amp you can set anytime but crossover cannot, as it keep below the seat.

that's right! if you want to keep it simple, a pre amp will do. cheaper some more. connections of a preamp is also simple.

lot of cheap pre-amps also introduce a lot of noise to the system, i still recommend electronic crossover. keeping it out of reach is also good as u dowan other passengers to mess up your settings.

thanks bro, realy help a lot.

just asking one more question,
my 4ch amp has 1 rca out and buidin crossover,
is it possible to connect to my 2ch amp directly. :)

if it can work and cut cost :tee:

No, since you are using your pre-amp. Anyway how you want to set your system? Is it make full use of your 4 channel amp(front and rear) or use 2 channel only?

hm.. currently i connect 1 2ch amp to woofer directly from HU. No pre-amp or electronic crosover.
Then i buy 1 more 4ch amp for my front and rear speakers.
I thinking of connecting my 4 ch amp to HU using Y rca cable and connect my 2 ch amp to rca out of the 4ch amp.

can or cannot?? :tee:

I believe that normally, an RCA out from an amp would be just a pass through. The signal that comes into your amp from the RCA will/should be the same with the one the amp is passing out.

It would be more helpful if you can provide the model of the amps that you are using. A budget would also be nice since there are normally more than one way to get a solution. :D

The 4 channel amp output got specify for what? Is it for low pass or high pass?

in manual say its to connect to another amp... but not mentioning about connecting in low pass or high pass...

so can or cannot :tee:

well, chap ayam brand i guess since no name on the amp except for V13 1200 Watt on the amp. But there are rca out at the amp, with 2 rca in, and build in crosover high pass, low pass, and off.

can use this method or not :tee:

if you connect your 2 cenel amp from ur 4 cenel amp via rca out, it should be ok. from wat i knoe rca out is low pass. bros, correct me if im wrong.

this is what i have in mind :tee:

do i need to install relay?

If u want more detail...go to Xover rather then pre-amp...normally xover has more control ...U can adjust freq, gain, phase adj...bass bost freq etc...most import in ICE is soundtage (sound come in front of U..tak kira where u put Ur speaker or woofer), sound imagine (sound must at Ur center dashboard)...to tune it u need xover ..coz pre-amp can not done it...in SQ setup rear speaker not important..use cap ayam also OK ..just need right stuff.. if Ur are Audiophile...

wah, you got a Punch 10", but becareful, the power only around 150watt rms. Better check your amp power first before installing, if not you will blow the woofer for nothing... I have blow my punch 12" with Ligthning Audio amp.. Anyway relay is not important, for me, as I don't what is the function on it. Still install less component on your car is better

well, i have finish install the amp, sound is ok to me

but one more problem, the amp is damm hot, and after long use, its stop and i have to let it cool first.

anyone have any idea on cooling this amp :tee:

Looks like your woofer input power is greater than your amp something like your woofer power is 300watt and your amp is 100watt. Like this sure your amp will cut out at high temp.
