Hi all, I just added a pair of tweeter for my car (cheap one). I fix it myself by using the double side tape to fix it on the area between the dashboard and the pillar. The problem now is the tweeter also fall down due to the tape cannot last. May I know how you all fix the tweeter ?

How the blue tack looks like? is it one type of double side tape?

Nope, it looks kinda like some playdoh Plasticine kind of thing.

I still do not know how the thing looks like. Can anyone help to post the photo?

It is what the school teacher uses to stick their items on the black board temporarily.

be sure to wipe clean the area you stick, the accessive oil/dirt/moisture you don't see will contribute to lack of stickyness for your double sided tape. after wiping let it dry for a while and then stick the tweeter. hold it down hard for a few minutes then let it dry out the nite. sometimes use 2 double sided tape then it works

i use those sponge double sided tape and it works well..
u can try it out and see...

try cleaning the dasboard surface to sticked the tweeter using alcohol. it can remove oil/stain before putting d.sided tape.

Don't use thinner as it'll be too strong, might discolour the dashboard, petrol or denaturised alcohol would be good enough.

Simple as nice!

If not mistaken, that looks like a piece of acrylic cut up wif a hole in the middle to place the tweeters? V-Pilot, do you happen to be CB5 of some other forums? :_:

GRexer was right for the tweeters made up. I share you a closer look. I am going to setup another car sometime end of year. lazy to move on actually. This time, the tweeter will be insert into a piece of metal surface. I reckon it will serves good SQ if we place a tweeter with a piece of "wall".

I think that theory does have something in it, that's why most home audio tweeters have a faceplate on them even thought the motor isn't too big.

bro V-Pilot,
impressive what u done for the tweet holder, very good option for those who don wanna "cut" holes in their A-pillar.
mind advising me where to get the materials to do what u've done ?

Tony, i can show you where to get and do it. where is your location?
