engine tuning

my car rpm drop until 500 rpm when the engin is cool and when the rpm droop it make noisy which is i really hate to hear n i have wait until it is really really hot. i have done engin tuning but it is still the same the foreman said cannot do anything it's normal. after i have done the tunning the engin taking lot of petro extra rm20 every week..do u guyz have any sugestion plz help me...

running on carburettor engine??.. ur carburettor dont have autochoke??... thats why have to tune the idle higher so eliminate the sound??.... which contributes to high fc because ur air/fuel mixture is rich....

this is jz 1 of the possibilities....

Hows your IACV? Try swapping ECU and see if the problem goes away.

if ur using a carb engine confirm the autochoke got prob if ur engine is a standard 4g15/13 u can replace the autochoke wit a unit quite cheap around rm50 if ur engine is fuel injection using MMC management system posibility throttle body kong the ISC is defective need a new throttle body

I am facing the same problem too. Lately the auto choke is not working. Upon startup every morning or after a long stop the RPM hover ard 500rpm. When the car is not properly warmup, it is so hard to get it moving. It jerks like nobody business. Using 4g15 engine carburator. I believe the choke is out of order too and my mechanic did suggest to service the carb. Em... between changing auto choke unit and servicing carb, i think changing the auto choke unit. Less risk of not getting the carb back together in good order.

ur rite dont risk servicing up ur carb its quite complex only a real expert can do it and the original carb service kit is only available at proton, other 3rd party parts is not advisable coz its not standard u can risk having too rich or 2 lean fuel mixture if not fitted properly or wrongly adjusted. u better get the autochoke replaced its quite a simple job wont affect ur carb performance.

Check your cool start, post start mapping... test your PID setting if your management has it. What idle control your engine running? or tell me your engine either. Stepping motor or others type is different setup. Ask your tuner about it. Engine is running too rich on criusing, ask your tuner to refine it if fuel consumption too high, you can shotting at 14.5-14.7 A/F on cruise on mild engine setup. Wish you good luck :)

ya u can buy 1 at any spare part shop its cheap around rm50 depands on spare part shop some place cheaper jst check it out installation is simple i have seen people do it sekejap siap
