Don't go for blitz, i've used it, cmk used, and few other gsr owner used it, somehow it the bov will cause ya car stalled, reason? well just dont get it, greddy type s or type r are good, ofcourse the latter 1 is quite expensive, hks also not bad, and sard as well.

YEAH.....tried tat lastest model....SUPER SOUND TYPE DD....problem wt this BOV is the spring is weak...it relase too much air...

for me Greddy sound not tat nice ler....sound almost like ARC.....

most worth BOV is SARD R2D2...cheap n reliable....juz like to hear sharp sound from SARD

u can go more then that 1.2 must have safc..

y-kit,what ah soon mean is have a s-afc is better then nothing.more save to boost 1 bar with s-afc...... ;)

when reach high boost the sound will become ching......................!

larger? which means originally ur cover plate is somewhere 8.5" only rite? not the 9" type... couze i came accross 2 types of flywheel for GSR... then 8.5" and 9" type.... and yup the 9" flywheel feels a little bit stiffer than the 8.5" ones....

hmm not MMC or EXCEDY ar?.... Daikin? hehehe
 
isit advisable to get greddy type R bov into 4g93t? i mean for future mod with bigger turbine and the list goes on, or stick to a greddy type s as loong i dont go over board 300hp?

according to their specs, type s=300hp, type r=300hp and above, any 1 can shed some light on this, i scare if i get the type r, same thing happen when i use blitz that time. air leak, and engine stalled.
 
u want yr gSR to push until 300hp u have to insert alot of $$$$ into it leh...!
that time u sure very loaded.... :lol: :P :D
 
actually that type s is more than enough!
coz it work just like a wastegate!
it have to place to let u fix your vacumm pipe!
1 is for push the bov valve open another 1 is for push that bov valve close!
so if your engine is high boost u can fix the vacumm pipe at the top so it will help the spring of the valve more stronger!
 
CARISMA : i have seen the 8.5' n mine is da 9'....da 8.5' oni found on early version of GSR....da flywheel is flat juz like 4g92/4g15 something like tat lar....where is da 9' flyhwheel is same as vr4/evo

too bad i forgot the name of my clutch cover...the diameter n area to contact wt the clutch is the same but the housing of the cover is larger ler...i oso dunno wat brand liaooo

but comfirm not daikin oso lar... ;)

type s ....enuf ler....
or cheaper can get the SARD RACING bov which sound like WHooosh when full boost tat time...

btw...tried type s b4 on my car....no problem wt it but still prefer da r2d2 :)

da main problem wt BLITZ is the spring is too weak...other then dat BLITZ BOV is veli solid n long lasting

erm...if compare supersound wt type s....i prefer type s coz spring is stronger....

last saturday me install ssqv bov n my boost is now at 0.7 bar. Asked the mech. to up the boost to 0.9 bar but still tak sampai. He advised me to install the boost controller. now no budget already.
also try to go to jaafar exzoz, reach at the place but not sure which shop. is there any signage ka ? coz there's one shop same row with amoil but didnt put jaafar exzoz signage. care to help guys........
 
if not mistaken, type s is just like any other other bov, with 1 vacuum hose connected to it, does it have 2?

heres the theory of modding, if you wanna go, go all the way, if you dont wanna go, why in the first place u spend 7krm dropping an engine in? hope u get the idea of how other mod freaks think, when they start modding their car?

well i guess type r is just not neccesary, thanx for the advice guys,

jaafar, is same row as amoil, but forgot which shop it's next to it, but i think they do have their signage there,

wei can drop in 3-5 fish tank adjustable.... :P about the same as boost controller leh.......... and cheeper leh.... ;)

drop in 7-9k have power and must think of maintanace and reliability. :lol:
 
thats why u have a job, beside supporting you, it support your hobbies as well. maintainane is part of any maintainance of your car already, reliability depends on the owner it self, you dont take care of it, who take care for it?

actually i not very agree with u lah!
coz still got some ppl willing to spend RM7k to drop in the engine but will not touch anything later coz they just want to have more power than proton original engine!
and some really hard to save that RM 7k to drop in the engine and dont have the $$ to do any other modd!
beside that u still have to maintain your car!
tyre , engine oil and other small thing!
u tot so many people are rich meh?

and speedzone, if you save up hard enough for 7krm to dump in the engine, and no money to mod later, do you think you will stop if they have more money ?

i do agree with you to those just wanna dump in the engine to replace proton engine. but generally speaking, those that dump in that engine, no matter what have slight intention to mod or to upgrade, it might be for cosmetic look or engine power wise, modding is still modding, changin is still changin, you are looking for more.

even you are not changing engine or modding, think about this, if you are drving a stock standard 1.6, tell me, whether you maintain it or not. a car is a responsibilities, you either maintain it or dont.
