Was planning to convert into 1.8 mivec, but the halfcut already tapao by someone.. was a very nice halfcut from japan.. no MAF/MAP sensor on the intake. so i think to myself, more fun with turbo. hahaha :burnout:
 
if i not wrong, mivec original no need the air flow sensor like what 4g93t did, last time i use mivec ck head with gsr block, use mivec ecu + emanage blue to tune, the power output is scary, running 2wd even r888 also will slip

wow, really? stock mivec ck dont have sensor? lol my evo 6 friend shocked to see the picture of the halfcut.. he said the mivec halfcut sure tuned in japan.

i can 100% sure ur fren is wrong...... i have done 4 time engine transplant in my car, mivec ck 1.6, gsr ck, mivec with gsr 1.8 block, now currently running with evo 4..... know these few engine well.... sure only 4g63 and 4g93 running with airflow sensor, mivec ck or mivec hybrid gsr block no need the airflow sensor if running with mivec ori ecu with piggyback(piggy is for turbo or higher cp set up for fueling and ignition), unless u using gsr ecu since it is running maf ...... btw, do ask me anything if u wan upgrade, i can share and get parts u wan since i din play the mivec anymore..... but it is sad to know u getting a auto tranny
 
lol, no worries bro. my friend doesnt really know much about the 4G9X engines, since he started off with a kancil, kelisa then straight into evo 6. but he knows a lot about evos hahaha. oh yeah, my car doesnt have ABS, so if i drop the gsr into my car, the ABS have to throw to make things easier or have to complete the whole thing?

btw i live in sabah hahaha. quite hard to get ck parts here unless go to halfcut. even halfcut dont have everything..

pls refer to other ecu pro, i not pro in this but only heard people going rechip then tune, stock ecu cant be tune if not wrong, but if it is like ur case whcih got eprom, u should direct go search the ecu programmer and do it, think can kot

me at sarawak, i think ck parts quite rare all malaysia, but lucky last time i got a manual, saw many halfcut with auto and semi auto...... ABS, it is all depent on u and ur mech, i dun have abs since my car din come along:biggrin: but, from what my fren that drive luxury car, they all say sucks since the abs make ur brake weird, since it prevent wheel lock, even in emergency u press so hard, the car will brake but in run stop condition, like brake a while then release then brake again

the abs normally people throw away for easy work, and also hassle free, cause many people afraid the abs will goes wrong since it is no more oem like just come out from factory, even got fren remove abs from their crv cause always went kong.....

im a new gsr owner, project is still on going at workshop :) need some opinion, do u guys change timing belt set upon installing engine? mechanic said might be dangerous running old timing belt.

yes timing belt is very important my friend...better be safe than waiting the danger to come..imagine when you are boosting then suddenly the engine belt putus...you imagine and picture bro
 
ooo..that's bad. thanks for the advice bro. i'll ask them to change while engine is still outside the car. any other highlight i have to take into consideration before it kills me in the end? im converting from 1.5L(m) carb engine btw.
 
change all the worn seals..change the water pump..change the mounting if it's broken..change all the wear and tear parts..
