satria neo r3

Owh, so straightening the chassis is overkill. . . that what im afraid too. (cancell it in my do list)

about Ron97 just after install the new extractor there i petrol stations nearby, so i drop in pay the casher RM60 for Ron97 (petronas) . . . i wish i got alot of money so that i can maintain using ron97 :bawling: because it was AWESOME !!

and yerp my main target for the CF hood was the R3 version  damn we got almost the same taste . .....

PS: i think im going to try ron99 (shel V-power racing) somedays for fun.....

Ha ha yeah sounds like it..when you get here we can talk little more!
Btw the strut bar was on another car not the r3 to be clear, but moment. Took it off wow was easier to drive ..some car do benefit some I guess not, some like it to pose but not driven hard and long...just my experience alright. Others may differ in opinion though. So each one to his own!

You also kasi racun now thinking getting the extractors on weekend. Hey btw what did the service centre do about the lambda sensor previously on the catalytic converter in front. Dunno if you noticed the ori had a sensor dangling in front but the r3 has none. Did they reprogram the ecu?

Drove my car first time in rain! What POS wipers...need to add to list of items to replace this weekend..prob get Bosch aero twins. The Gps unit now I think sucks!

Tried to upload new SW got start point fail to initiate error and reloaded ori. Not sure if you owners noticed it doesnt show buildings, landmarks etc. I also have a papa go unit and garmin both running on malfree maps and almost perfect with junction view etc. Doesnt do nearby poi very well either showing locations miles away..Will whine for first service hopefully can be fixed. Also USB interface with iPhone doesn't work which sucks...works on ad2p protocol using blutooth but the sound quality suffers. Also no co axial connection which would have made me happy.
Still haven't studied how to erase and update the navigation system go papago on CE. Worse case tutup mata and just enjoy the engine noises. Not so fussy on weekend long drives. Anyway update for the day !

adooiii baca u all punya post..i am very itching to get r3 too..:banghead::banghead:

but already have 2neos @ my home..my dad 1 n mine..haha..neo rock the world!:driver:

Hahaha, yeah the GPS unit really sux actually, i just use the usb port, plug in my 8G drive with alot of mp3 file in it, never use the GPS since i have garmin and papago (my dad's but he never use it). Im still finding how to change map from mapking to garmin right now still cant. . . about the wiper yerp it so-so also and mine was rusty :banghead: already ask SC to change it but they say no stock... haiz.

Today just send it for tinted, (GOLD) ahahah nice one there but the service sux, my splitter got many scratch (#$%^&) but that was the purpose right , to protect the front bumber . .

Owh i dint know what they do actually since in COE u cant enter and see what the service tech doing, i dont know but from my understanding the ECU was already program in the 1st place, so i don't think they re-program it back in the 1st service.
and what with the lambda sensor thing? dint know got it inside.

if you look at the r3 engine pic its just the extractor, on the standard engine with a cover pic you will see a cable going in...that the Lambda sensor. That sensor reads the O2 levels in the exhaust to monitor emission levels..they couldnt have just taken it out right?

Owh that green wire? Yup it will taken out when you change the extractor. Does it have any effect beside reding the o2?

send for tint? if im not mistaken the car itself is already tinted with ecotint gold right?

and for the splitter, no the main purpose is not to protect the front bumper.. R3 designs the spiltter to improve downforce..

He he..young pad wan:listen:
Did my first mod today..got aero twin wipers! Threw ori pos in the garbage!

The explanation was to long . . . really sorry no mood to read since i cant understand it well too. but the thing is i cant see any cable after the new extractor installation. so im guessing they remove it. I got an appointment again this tuesday, will ask them to clarify,

Yup there already tinted with gold eco tint, but i make it again without removing the eco tint since the stock one doesn't reduce heat and sunray that much, very satisfied now plus my baby window sure is darker. . . nice

About the splitter yeah it main purpose to improve down force, really think it making my car lowered when drive around 190km++ (tested it today got about 195km i think can go more since the rpm shown around 6k but dont have enough ball yet).

BTW can i ask did you guys car painting/finishing got cheap? mine was already have some white cheap dot at the hood, maybe because of small stone, but i complain it and it already been aprove and proton will re-paint the car dont know whole or only the hood i though want to change to CF R3 hood but the price was !@!$!@! RM2850k HOLLY COW. NVM for that but from my view the car painting was really like a cheap paint, even my old car dont have that kind of problem, or is there any thing that can be done to protect the painting? or did am i wrong here?

rkbella33 where do you get that wiper and the size?

One more thing. can u guys list of upgrade and why (if can) or anyone can suggest anything, i would like to conquer corner better (if can) without lowering and sure more power but i dont want to make it weekend car as i use it daily (working from Ampang to Cyberjaya) thanks. Is install piggyback / standalone will make thing better? as im saving for it for the 1st mod.

PS: not doing this in short time, maybe next year. Just getting to know what to do in long term.

Hi K69...the wipers are bosch aero twins..costs rm95/set size 18/21". Works great and smooth yesterdays tests! Check the link below for dealer search(on top of page)
http://www.bosch.com.my/content/language1/html/index.htm

my paint already has 3 dots in front from stone chips. Paintwork is so so to me too and looks like the paint already pretty visible swirl marks that I will probably need to polish off at my fav detailer next week. Small issues, no diff from local H or Ts etc out there.

May be evening go get the mats done and the Sunguard as I am going driving weekend!

You should check yr air pressures if yr car is handling wonky..according to the r3 booklet its 220 front/200 rear which is coincidentally how I set up my cars always.
My car feels like a go cart...dotn think can get any better unless change the tyres, throw out more weight, upgrade the Engine.
I would think to focus on how to drive fast smoothly and not upset the balance while doing fast corners will be a skill, straight line isnt bad dude if you keep the hammer down. I dont need anymore than this for now as it deliver the driving experience /package was looking for in a new car.

Anyway in short about the Lambda Sensor it takes the O2 reading and helps determine if the exhaust is Lean or Rich in fuel. It uses these to snd signal to engine management ECU to determine right fuelling and air ratios during esplow speed/high speed to control emissions. So removing the sensor may result in heavy fuel consumption/poor idling/feelign car is underpowered.

O.o dint know that lambda sensor was that important, nvm2 i will clarify it this Tuesday, since i will see R3 department it self for more services. 220 / 200 is it same as 32 / 29 ? because i read it from there.

Owh and if any of the R3 user's want to update their ICE head unit (that 2din thing) come to R3 department, COE in tuesday as the GPS tech will be there, he just call me that he be there from Penang. They will update the whole system and change the map from mapking to Papago or Garmin.

What wrong with your mats? or you just cleaning it?

and anyone know where i can get R3 dealer address?

220/200 is same as conversion 32/29. Hey the gps tech is from Penang? Can you get a contact for me when you go to r3 as I want to upgrade to pap go too!! Please help out bro!
Mat I am talking about is the coil mat ...don't like the interior dusty or wet when I get after a rain or hike etc.

R3 dealer is on yr poi on gps:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::thefinger:::thefinger::thefinger:

Patience is a virtue...the r3 is:driver: hoot!

O.o is there POI for R3 :banghead: ahahahah dint notice, will try though.
Il pm u the number. check your pm.

Oic that mat, i usually clean it up by my self once in 3~5 days depend on my mood and time available..
still haven't wax my baby yet ... planning to make SieraGlow heard many good thing about it. nah, maybe not.

I had to wax the car as it was blackish with I suspect anti rust paint bits(theres anti rust wax everywhere!)but will send autoglym detailers I know here. They provide great service like pick up and go a great job in out and typically 1 day job. Sierra glow I heard a lot abt it but detailing like removal of swirls best is done by professionals. I just touch up every month after that. Don't forget little care like a good sponge good wash shampoo goes long way to maintain appearance and just waxed look. This little car is taking a little more than usual to spruce up! But hell, I am not complaining!

IC, so how much the cost for autoglym detailers that you going to? mind to share?

Btw advice from me if u guys (SN R3 car) that want to mod their baby, better go R3 forum, pm me for the address and there is a lot guys in there that can give advice. So far i learn alot from them.
From the advice i got from them, next mod will be:

1. CF HOOD -weight
2. CAI (cold air intake) -better air flow than the stock (too small as other R3 user claiming)
3. Brake (M1144 +s.steel Braided Hose)

Updates:
installed sun guard , light blue hid tint on headlights, new coil mats in black with red tinged.
Went to lenggong via selama perak and it was a real good drive! Lane switchbacks and trying to apex the drive dowhill was effortless. Had a close buddy of mine repeatedly saying "not bad not bad and occassional burst of surprise. He he another kAki driving enjoying himself.
Did some videos and will post sometime uphill and downhill! tyres settled in real nice and with minimal rumbling ..getting about 7.8 liters per 100kms in mixed driving trying to stay below 6000 with some occasional bursts to season the engine and got 150kms to first service..he he can't wait for the extractors to go on!!!both counts as a hmm mm...:adore:

I am impressed with the car a lot. Interior has grown on me despite the plasticky interior but been a classic user for sometime so doesn't bother me. What's been a little unbelievable is the lack of rattles. Had many curoious onlookers incl neo owners taking a clser look while having lunch...trying to spot a fake r3 I guess.

Some bothers
-stone sticking on the anti rust all over the bottom...uuugh
-steering wheel feeling a bit too thick

I'm impress with one on one review direct from you guys. Are you guys planning for a meet up? I would love to see & feel it the power of R3. Consider to buy one.

Great idea..we should some time! I am trying to just share personal experiences with the R3 and taking the plunge and buying the car...! remember there were NO TEST DRIVE cars. There lots of doubts in my head but the review in Ignition.my by Adianyein/Mailmotor gave me some confidence as I was buying a Proton first time in almost 15 years. All I wanted was a car to replace my last drive, the car had to be without all the shebang gadgets, very mechanical(manual), easy to maintain, had to not be too garden variety and as close as possible to the LOTUS spirit. The R3 can fit the bill at this price level.

I am now super glad I got the car again despite some minor shortcoming that I hilited. But these are foibles only a nit picky guy. The car reignited my passion for B roads and now already planning route for this week ride while passing some money to the gf to go shopping...
