im not own any r3 yet but only stock neo with ori r3 bodykit..:)

so through out reading this thread,i could sums up that your r3 come in with stock cps headers.this mean not yet unleashing the full power of SNR3.

it feels weird though (funny) what done by r3,why not putting in all as complete package buying the car.yes probably due to gently warming up the new hi-cam n running up the ecu until 1st service.they should state in it that the r3 extractor comes separately and will installed after the 1st service in the booklet.i not the customer dont know n probably not having full enjoyment n fun driving SNR3.

i saw one in Perlis here(imagine,in perlis?!),pretty damn fast!

I am at Penang and to my knowledge the north area there are only 3 and out of that one is at perlis
The high cam by itself makes the car behave different esp after 5.5k but agree the full power is after the extractor replacement which by the way given free. Only reason they didn't install it earlier was due to need for cat for all cars. The install is considered mod and proton was probably keeping it legal from factory as otherwise the lambda sensor is disabled

I think i got the problem unit, going to ask for an exchange. Well honestly from #060 until #070 which is already being distribute last week was not being QC enough because i just talk with one of the R3 Manager he said last week he was on vacation, maybe that's why the QC was done poorly. He will attend my 1st service personally this Monday, and really sorry for the problems. (i got more problems than you... not only the door trim.) how lucky me.

Owh that shiny thing look like an exhaust (my friend said it was extractor and i dint know extractor = header) yeah i got it too in the boot, already stored in my garage.
BTW where are you from?

PS: Sorry for the late reply, just back from Genting testing the car handling with some friends and now im really all the wat down really love the car despite all shyty thing about the QC (seriusly hand build? but quality ) maybe the interior was not assemble by R3 unit...:hmmmm:

Anyone has any idea on changing the color of the dash on this car. not a fan o the light gray.

Ck You could leather or preferably alacantra coat it..do some search for super street exhaust for neo and same co in kl does that...to me would just leave it. Ain't no luxury car just a great drivers car and keep it easy for maintenance. Share yr stories too.

Yesterday noticed a rattle over very broken surface at rear right side...wondering if it's the shocks or antiroll bar ..the tyres are quite noisy don't you guys think? he he other than that pretty solid inside.

Oh forgot,My first day with baby and keys inside the car locked itself! Wtf..mcm kena rasuk! summo blocked my drive way ..lucky lowered the windows a bit as the glass was misting up badly due to poor cleaning. Gf tangan slim so she could lift the lock pin...my spare was inside: but all is forgiven!

Ck about the interior side i was plan to do some changing at first but then right now i don't care about the interior because the car was already perfect for me, i don't really care already about the interior parts (maybe later) because one of my friend using CPS turbo (BOT) and OMG the power (he already use it for about 6 month) so i think i will save some money for it later. Yeah i just use it hard from down to uphill just to test the engine and the tyres, from top to btm just relax-casual drive because the car was new actually dont want to push it too hard .


So you live in Penang, nice i would go to penang someday maybe next month (im craving for 'Mee Udang'), will pm you later.

BTW what do you ratle sound on the right side ? and yes the tyres is loud, but it can be solve if u put some noise insulation (dont know what they call it)

hey guys. tanx for the reply.

sorry my bad i didnt specify what i was looking for. nothing so plush as this. what i meant was more like spraying the red parts of the dash and maybe some of the gray parts.
this is just because the beautiful red n black car exterior n seats dun match the GRAY? n red o the dash.

this will be my only car for daily driving as well so for that purpose i was thinking o make it as pleasing on my eyes (meaning im staring at the dash n steering wheel).

so with that in mind.... what this a bout much noise? should i be putting money aside for sound proofing too?
where can i get this done? im in KL/selangor
not Malaysian so i dun really know where

obviously itching!!!....cant wait to actually get the car.

Noise isn't bad :-) just the tyres rumble a bit and looking for a little more bliss. it's mainly the tyres ..if it bothers you check out some decent accessory shops around KL and theres plenty or just do a DIY project

- double tint the car with top sunguard (still searching the right one) but the tinted i think for the rear back window will tinted it about 20% (80% dark)
- add some insulation to the door.
- install extractor (DONE!!)
- some minor interior upgrade (like using CF 3D sticker for the grey dashboard . . ..
- oh oh i will change my hood maybe next month (CF hood FTW!!)
- and maybe some UR bar..

Depend actually if the stock is there it would take about 2 week (if u push your dealer like me ) got mine about 3week ++ but the thing is it got some minor cosmetic problems

I dont have enough money now to make all the mod i've plan. Sure will post the pic here but still not sure where to put the CF sticker. For the CF hood i will sure it will done because there is a long term mod that i already plan for my ride

about the extractor, i cant say much (u need to feel it self) because the different is there i just dont know how to describe but it totally different from before, when they were assemble the extractor i have some chat with the R3 manager, he said you will feel the real R3 power after the 1st service because the car is tune with the extractor, now i know why last time i cant get more than 160 (now 200+ cant go more coz i dont have enough ironball) and feel like there something wrong when im revving (with the new gear ratio if feel like im revving all the time). Now its feel like the engine just cure from asthma + the sound more bassy!. ahaha

still thinking about the UR bar is relevant or not, because i think this r3 version is already good enough. maybe just infront strut bar

Sure will do, right now using photoshop to plan the interior and some exterior design, but i still will make sure the orignal theme used (red and black/grey/greymetal)

Share some experience
-The strut bars on a lowered car...makes the car feel super tight and especially when you do swtch back curves the arms feel like they are going to pop at the shoulder sockets..I took these off and immediately the ride felt a lot more compliant and easier to drive fast

-the real carbon fibre hood from r3 is on my wish list..pricey but nice finish

-I am excited to know abt the experience with the extractor...wow! now can sleep well smiling !:proud:

Owh, so straightening the chassis is overkill. . . that what im afraid too. (cancell it in my do list)

about Ron97 just after install the new extractor there i petrol stations nearby, so i drop in pay the casher RM60 for Ron97 (petronas) . . . i wish i got alot of money so that i can maintain using ron97 because it was AWESOME !!

and yerp my main target for the CF hood was the R3 version damn we got almost the same taste . .....

PS: i think im going to try ron99 (shel V-power racing) somedays for fun.....
