Hello guys...i just wanna ask a questions..if i want to transplant my engine to BT or ST for my AE92, roughly how much it will take for me from the engine to all the neccesary thing?how much it cost?my budget is around 8k, so im wondering if i have enough budget to do the transplant...wut can i get for 8k budget?BT or ST or supercharge?

Thanx

BT 6 speed (with twin pot disc brake front) Half Cut + Labour with all brand new fluid/service/timing belt change RM7000 - RM8000 , if 5 speed probably around RM5000 - RM5500 then u need 2.2-2.3 exhaust piping set with muffler, aftermarket halfcut condition should be less then RM800 , JPJ if u do urself RM1xx , runner maybe RM500 .

RM7000 - 8000(BT 6 speed) + RM800(Aftermarket Exhaust) + RM500(JPJ Runner) = RM8300 - RM9300 :burnout:

RM5000 - 5500(BT 5 speed) + RM800(Aftermarket Exhaust) + RM500(JPJ Runner) = RM6300 - RM6800 :burnout:

better go for 1st one since ur budget is RM8k

after transplanted, u need to upgrade your sport rim & tyres to min 15'', lets say your one is standard...this cost u another RM2000...safety first..!!!

cAN HELP YOU TO FIND THE HALF-CUT..AND ALSO INSTALLATION...GOT NEW SUPERCHARGE...VERY CLEAN N ALSO ALREADY GOT PERFORMANCE PART INSIDE...PM ME IF INTERESTED..

wah so expensive meh nowadays bt 5speed and 6speed!!!

i think the price above inclusive of labor. hafcut price for blktop remains quite the same.. 3.3 > 3.8K for 5sp... & 5 > 5.5K for 6sp. labor charge in KL quite expensive i would say.. at least 1.5K needed.
there might be some hidden charge involved.. for items like oil seals, worn clutch, ae92 rear knuckle for disc brake installation, beltings, twinpot modifications.

Check with your mech wat his package include..then you will be in the safe side. personally for me, i would go for 5sp, with 8K budget because the balance i will invest in good suspension, lightweight rims & of coz.. Apexi N1 ...:driver:

NA or supercharge, depends on you. supercharge can give you the torque..blktop can give you high revving fun..it's up to you.fuel consumption of coz supercharge will consume more though.

Hi,

First of all, welcome to the family of Modding your beloved AE...hahaha...

Well, just did my transplant this year and the breakdown as below (Roughly):

1. Half-cut - RM3.2k
2. Labour - RM1.5k (depend on situation. Some might be cheaper but 1.5k is common.)
3. Parts replacement (Belts, Bearings, Hoses and etc.) - approx. RM500
4. Exhaust System - RM700
5. Braking system (skimming and modding the twin pots for fitment to Macpherson) - RM200
6. Brake Pads - RM250 (Front: AKEBONO Japan). RM?? (Back: Unknown brand)
7. Rear Suspension due to the half cut unit is broken - RM80
8. Digital Air-cond panel for AE101 - RM100 (got it cheap)

Sub-Total: Approx. 6.7k

JPJ runner: RM300

So, total is arouind RM7k.

Well, that's the figure that I get. I reserved 1.5k for after transplant service which you might come into certain broken parts which is unknown during the transplant. So make sure you reserve some for this. Otherwise, you might "potong stim" if the problem is serious which cause you to get disappointed cause you can't get the expected results from your transplant. This item could be Clutch, clutch plate and etc. Cause the mech might see from the transplant condition that the clutch is still ok but when you run the car, it might not be. So how much the clutch gonna cost you with labour? So, pls reserve some cash for this kinda situation.

Anyway, it's just my experience with my transplant progress. Maybe others have different situation than I had. There are many sifu around. They might have bumped into different situation in their transplant progress.

Good Luck to you.

Cheers.

Basically, if budget is 8k. go for BT manual 5 speed, it'll be enough for a normal transplant package (labour+half-cut).
The extra cash, use it for new wheels and other upgrades that u will/need to do after done the transplant.

oic..thanx guys...i will discuss wif wif my fren...but, i think 5 speed BT is more than enough...6 speed is to fast maa...hahah..later get saman from police...hurmm wondering if in cheras area got any workshop that could help me transplant the engine...

if i ve more money, oso want to change my KE70 engine to BT..so one AE92 and one KE70...can race wif my father..hahahah

hi,

tumpang a question... how does a BT auto perform compare to a 4afe auto?
im thinking to transplant also as my current 4afe has some problem...

im actually looking for more low-mid power rather than revving till 9k... pls adviced should i changed to BT or overhaul? ^_^ thanks..

my car will onli enter the oven after the next GRA..:) whack the parking lot for some fun 1st...hehe

laichong... overhaul will be the much cheaper option. for BT, the torque below 5K rpm is comparative to 4afe, since that is your favourite band. another option.. 3SGE....:)

next GRA 16th Dec. come n join.. we need more toyota inside. for more info..

should b around 8k... jus done the swapping last week.. bside the halfcut, workmanship n wear n tear parts... u might need to change ur fuel tank as wel, cost me rm450.. for mine ae92.. i did some modification on the rear to allow ae111 disk brake to fit... coz ae92 disk brake is too expensive.. afterall.. again u might need to do some modification to the air-cond system, coz ae111 using r-134a. bt power was jus awesome...
