Hello friends,

Recently I burst one of my rear tyre, Falken Ziex Tyre (Made in Japan)

Now Im planning to change the 2 rear tyre to Bridgestone MY-01 (Made in Thailand). About RM150 a piece

I can't find any info on this tyre on the website, but ppl said its a replacement for Bridgestone Techno (which is a standard series tyre, not high performance)

My question is, how reliable this Bridgestone MY-01? Because last time I used a Bridgestone Grid II (205/45/16) which was BAD in terms of wet handling and emergency brake.

Any other recommendation? Actually I was looking for Potenza GIII but I don't think they have 15" and its too expensive for me right now.

Is there any reliable shop in Ampang Area or PJ/Sunway??

emergency brake not as good as performance la, but heavy rain at highway i still can drive at 140km/h ... :) the wet handling is better than my ES100 before

yes, RM150 per piece, i bought at shah alam before CNY

PJ area hard to get RM150...

only in Ampang got 1 shop selling RM150... but allignment is RM25...

A few weeks ago I bought a set of Bridgestone Potenza G3 195/50/R15 tyres for RM210 each in Klang. So 15" Potenza G3 does exist :)

The discontinued Techno does have lousy wet handling, if the new MY-01 is similar, stay away from 'em. My G3 performs admirably well on wet.

The best tyre for wet condition is still Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3, if u're willing to sacrifice abit of dry handling. Bridgestone (including the G3) is always known for fantastic dry handling and a bit weaker in wet handling.

AFAIK, Bridgestone MY-01 tyres r just another passenger cars commercial tyres just like Goodyear NCT3 & NCT5. The noise level is pretty quiet & handling grip is pretty good for both dry & wet road conditions.

Please bear in mind that MY-01 tyres is NOT performance tyres. It's true that these MY-01 is the replacement tyre for Techno series from Bridgestone.

agree that my-01 is just another passenger type tyre. Just installed it last saturday. Not impress at all eventhough the price is just RM155. Well, i like the Falken Ziex tyre better, last time bought only for RM150 in Klang, and its a performance tyre with low profile cut.

Have not truly xperience the handling yet. Tyre is still noisy, but probably due to front Falken tyre. I dislike this MY01 mainly because it have curve side wall, i.e not low profile.
