Last week i read Car,Bike and Truck in News Straits Times,Got i column a guy driving 2002 Proton Waja 1.6(A) he install and using

Petronas Primax3
Bosch Super 4 Spark Plug
2 Korean made Cyclone2
1 Japanese Eco-Charge

He manage to get 1,000km on 1 full tank petrol. This totally unbelieveable!!!!
I want to ask Proton Waja user how much is the price full tank of petrol for Proton Waja.
I can go to Haadyai.Back and forth without refilling the Gas Station.
If anyone interested u can call this guy because this guy even put his H/P no in that column 013-7222727Don't scold me if the H/P no is fake because what the newspaper is given me or anyone here also can try to use his method to saving fuel.

wah?!?! 1000KM?

i guess he better set the guiness world record now, even go to toilet oso no time....

my kelisa only can do 400KM @ RM 60......some more slow driving...

i got dozens of frds driving waja,..some manual while some auto trainee.....

my personal opinion---> no matter what gadget of eletronic fuel saving device n bla bla bla bla..... end of the day 1000KM for full tank i dun think is logic....

guess, it;s time to let other Si Fu to sit down n discuss,,,

COME COME N DISCUSS~~~

I was an ex Waja driver and all I got before fuel price increase was RM75 for about 420++km, probably you get more driving on the highway but definitely not 1000km. I don't know how the guy did it. Beats me to it. lol.

It's truly amazing! 1000km per tank full of petrol!
Beats all Perodua cars!

big chance the odometer reading spoilt already.... ekekekekeke

You guys also not believe right?1000km from WAJA.Even myself also didn't believe it

try reading this month's AUTOCAR ASEAN where Shell conducted tests in 10 Toyota Vios manual.

the result is good, but only under the condition of driving constant 80kph with no aircond.

i do believe the waja capable of getting 1000km per tank @ 1 litre = 16km provided ...
1. its a manual
2. its driven at a speed of 80kph @ 2,500rpm constantly
3. and aircond off all time

for me, to drive all the way to bukit kayu hitam at 80kph with no air cond is like doing sumthing ridiculous.

p/s the waja may even get better mileage if use 14" wheels instead of 15".

I was just about to post what Zan written above. Its possible, given the most ideal conditions. Aircon off, RPM kept below 2500RPM and max speed at 80kmh. That was what the Vios guys did with the Shell petrol.

While his Waja is the most fuel efficient, your kelisa is a blood sucker.

There's something about smaller capacity engines. You need to rev them to move them. If you don't rev them slightly higher, you find that the car is extremely slow and sluggish and you'd kill yourself driving inside. That is why cars like Kelisa and Kancil are fun to drive around town simply because of their small engine capacity and you'd hit high revs zipping around the roads. High revving almost inevitably means higher petrol consumption, so you can't say just because Kancil/Kelisa has small engine CC, it automatically means its a fuel saver.

I use to drive a Kancil 850 too and i must say its a real fun car to move around in KL. Parking is easy and most importantly, its a real rev happy car. I'd easily whack up to 6000RPM on most roads. However, the FC isn't that great either. You find that RM30 of petrol won't bring you that far and thats precisely what i'm trying to say. The car is lively at high revs but at the same time, it'll still drink petrol.

Perhaps so with -

MANUAL, No spare tyre, no rear seats, lightened everything, 14" light set of wheels, XM1 or other minimal-rolling resistance rubber, whatever gadgets, no aircon, below 80 km/h or 2.5k rpm all the time, no traffic and yes, early morning drive...
But again, most family sedan cars would be able to do that eh?

And if that supposed to bring up the sales of Waja or Proton in general?

No thanks.

again under very restrictive conditions as what it would most likely be .

er im having a hard time typing a reply as my eyes are glued too darahhitam's boucing matters above the quick reply box lol

haahahha.........I know the logical explanation to this 1000km per tank hoo haa..........remember people, it's a proton.........the meter cluster is screwed! calibration was done when the injinear was busy ngorat'ing (bm) the female operator in the assembly line, that's why! hahahahhahah

1000km without touching the ground maybe..heh...the car lifted up .

1000km is possible... car was transported using a trailer all the way to Bkt Kayu. The driver just need to pretend driving... muahahahaha!

how come?

Beats all Perodua cars!

well, I just coming back from Bangi last weekend. I pumped in some Rm80 (of course two full tanks la..) Mobil F1 into my trusted PERODUA kancil. we've been on the road for atleast some 800KM and still got about Rm10 worth of petrol inside. And, by todays standard, Kancil perhaps is the only car manage to get milage of 90km = 10 ringgit = 5 liter, then I figure it out that my kancil sipped RM80 for some 900KM!!

thats just summed it up. kancil is the best FC car. but I came across this Waja guy story.. what da hexx.. btw, how much petrol for one waja full tank? RM90? RM100? surely the guy beat me and my great Kancil
