Will police stop me for installing HID head lights ?

hmmm ...... I'm very curious about this question. Is there any black and white statement, rules or regulation (approved through Parlimen) released from JPJ ?? And if they said below 4500k is allowed, did they have the equipment to prove that the light is higher than 4500k? Just like speed trap also need prove to prove you're speeding la....

If I'm not mistaken, I read from JPJ website last time and it stated that the light must be in "yellow and white colour" but didn't stated how many K. So .... where did all those rules "below 4.5k" coming from?

basically..........4.35k is yellow; 6k is white; 8k is blue and 12k is purple.........
so 6k and below is basically safe........

JPJ website did not stated that which K's range can be use. they only mentioned is yellow and white...

just an advise... do not turn your light from yellow to 100% white... you wwill suffer during raining time. still the best is mixture of yellow and white. my car headlamp is white but my fog light is yellow... :D

may be most of the people do not dare to challenge back them. when they see you using HID then they'll kacau you and ask for kopi.... if they said HID is illegal, show the rules written clearly HID are not allowed. If they said less than 6k is not allowed, then ask them use equipment to prove your HID is higher than 6k lo.....

I think many of the people don't know how to protect themself. Just like if a police catch you speeding and ask you "do you know you are speeding?" you might not guilty if you say you don't know the speed limit because you didn't see any speed limit over there. (can only use for first time la, cannot use for 2nd time)

They need state and evidence to judge whether we are guilty or not. We must know our rights to protect ourself, not to let them over powered.

it depend to how you deal with police. perhap you havent meet a nasty police officer who will play along with you and bring you back to police station. from there, they might purposely drag your time and then release you.

they dun mind if you write to paper and complaint. for them, they just doing their duty. this is wat they claimed when my friend get caught of it.

now the JPJ already stated using HID is illegal, even when the newly installed on imported car. they need to send to puspakom for inspection. by this statement, they (JPJ) already outrule all of us... HID is illegal. so you cant fight back in term of how many K's... 6000K, 4100K and etc...

trust me, you dont want to be nasty with them (if you really meet one of them).

some of the normal car which never adjust their head light beam properly also never kena saman, must saman them as well, polis must saman them as well. not HID not install properly only :p

haha.. 600k, even the alien out there can c ur headlight lah. im driving my MYVI using the 8k, but sometime being scared by those policeman doing road block. but luckily nothing happen.

but no matter what, i have adjusted my headlight to its best position. im using the beam adjustor from HELLA which borrow from my company. but, u have to adjust the headlamp from the back of the headlamp by refering the right level from the beam adjustor. after that, even i c my headlight from 300 metres, its beam not point straight to me. feel good n safe.
