guys, i'm using NGK spark plug and its ok la until now. I'm planning to change them to NKG iridium. Any opinion from you guys for me which is the best and horny for my 210? Thanks. (newcomer with mazda la, so that i not very master with mazda 210 powertrain)

i'm using stock..the one with the halfcut. denso.hehe

few (most!) tuners prefer using copper plugs rather than platinums and iridiums. i take their word although im running stock ! ahaha

NGK Iriway!!! last time i used BOSH hot plugs from eneos, my engine can't even reach 1 bar, fuckin pissed..... burnt money onli...

i'm using denso iridium, good response but too hot become white, after adding sard fuel regulator, problem solved.

emale,
u should have bought the correct heat range for your car. anyway, adding the regulator is the way to do it....in the future, if buy colder heat range plugs, can bring down the pressure of the fuel.

as at now, since u've bring up the fuel pressure, since town driving requires lower range of revs, do u suffer in fuel consumption on town ride?

same with me.. superb..!!

mine use recond mesin rumput s/plug je...
so sweet dude!!!!........flatlander long time no c

im using bosch super 4.....when i full pedal, my boost reaches 0.9 n on the way to 1 bar....already got cut.....dunno boost cut or fuel cut....
the whole car like jammed/stop reving...then ease the pedal n step again, the car back to normal....then again the same thing happen......wat's the prob????
fuel pressure i set around 3.8 bar...
i check my plugs...red in colour.....
n 1 more thing....how to check whether is cold or hot plug???
ngk iridium ok for turbo???

thanks for the advice, the heat range i'm using is #7, in town riding 56 liters (full tank) can goes to 430km. is that consider high?

emale,

town riding with aircond on or what? quite high laa for me.. hehehe

i'm using bosch super... rpm 5k to7k seems like cannot go any further... after changing the fuel pump to 210 pump, 5k to 7k rev imporved... but with 1 bar boost lor... if boosting up to 1.2bar... 6k to 7k not stable ler

should i change to plug first or get a VR4 injectors or get a RB25 DET fuel pump? which one is which?

heat range 7 but white plugs? hmmm....that's strange. should not be white as its a colder plugs...that puzzles me. anyway, the fuel consumption is quite high to me...
your car gets 76km for every 10liters of petrol or rm10 of petrol, can go 38km.
My car gets around 100km for every 10 liters of petrol or rm10 of petrol can go 50km. Wife's lynx 1.8 auto also around that.

are u sure 3.8bar? its far too high u know....the std fuel pressure for bpt is 35psi. that is around 2.3bar of pressure. if 3.8bar is 56psi!...at this level of pressure, the fuelpump & the injectors suffers a lot. the fuel pump might not able to sustain the pressure at boost...i.e 0.9b/1bar and the fuel pressure might drop creating lean mixture at that boost. 1bar=14.75psi...lets take 15psi...an additional 15psi to 56psi is 71psi...that's a very hard working fuelpump and injectors u have there but depending on what fuelpump u use, some pump wont be able to give 71psi fuel pressure, therefore fuel pressure drop during boosting. that is why u experienced the cut due to engine leaning up...red colour plugs, a/f ratio should be ok before a sudden cut due to fuel delivery failure. when u get the cut, the plug will not capture the lean side of the mixture(white colour plugs)...tak sempat maa....sudah kena cut!

just to give some suggestions...its nothing expensive. what fuelpump u use? u are still with vj20 turbo? do u have any B8 friends around your place? if his car is doing ok, pinjam his spark plug cable for a few runs of your 1bar b8...if no cut, your spark plug faulty.
if still happens,if running at 1bar with vj20, try the NGK BCPR6ES-II. the cost of the plug is around rm28. then lower down the fuel pressure to let say 2.6bar, that should be 38psi. then try 1bar boost...

good luck bro.

icic.....previously using rb25....then kong d i changed to evo3.....still stadard turbine b8 180....
so i sud change plug n lower the fuel pressure??....then mayb can help izit??.....
but when my fuel pressure is 2.3 bar...my plug all white.....tat's y i scared....then up to 3.8 bar........

9188,
as told, setting a high fuel pressure will make the fuelpump & injectors work more, they suffers...that's one of the reason how the fuelpump rosak.
hmmm....different cars, different setups. its only my suggestion. change NGK 6 plug, lower down fuel pressure to 2.6bar and go for a few runs.
another thing is, check the fuelpump's wiring connections. fuel pump wont get enough voltage during boosting due to bad or faulty wiring connections. another suggestion is to wires the fuelpump using a relay to get 12v max power supply. i did this to my car, used BOSCH external fuel pump for 5 years with no problem, changed to internal WALBRO now due to fuel slight lean with my current whp & torq.
