The ecotint that we get is security tint film. I read this in our R3 manual book and ecotint warranty card. If the manual book lies then I lie to all of u too haha

yes it is... its in the R3 package... but my salesman didnt know dat.. and also the shop where i tinted another layer on stock tint. bad for me.. my salesman not so good...

hey guys... arrived my hometown... nice driving with my 'babe'.... especially at genting and karak hiway.. haha... at 1st i thought i can maintain to drive 110km/h but cannot tahan la.. mesti mau tekan..
160km/h @ 5500rpm... still can go but didnt pull it out since the car still new...
nice handling especially at genting anf karak hiway...

btw k69, i think u r betul anak angkat la... got special treat la bro.. hehe... (kinda jealous)...
i was thinking to ask them to do double coating too.. since the painting was horrible... not satisfied... but do we need to pay for double coating? approx. price?

yes.. i didnt add the security film since i just add another solar film to reduce the heat and visibility...
now my tint is double layer...
same guy? haha... i was in penang bro.. u in kl rite?

It's solar & security tint. No safety.

Ok I understand safety film is to avoid the window from being smashed. But what's the difference between solar & security film?

im not to sure the differance between safety and security film. but i heard theres a difference.

solar film is the ultra violet(UV) and infrared(IR) rejection. UV bad for health. IR is what makes the heat.

Chutti- this is a solar film with security feature by ecotint
Isn't the best in uv ir rejection but works fine. Suggest don't
Rip it out but add another layer to make it darker and besides it's easier done

yes.. i do tint the windscreen but its just the standard tint which clear color but with heat reducer... brand? hmm.. i dont remember.. haha.. not so into the brand... as long i didnt sweat while i'm driving in case my air con didnt work 5 years from now...

Oh, i double layer my window tint too, but for the front they take it off because they said danger and so on like rkbella33 said. I tint using the voucher, it's tint-master if im not mistaken. Using the 86% heat reduction, price about RM700 with voucher~ it nice, because the tinted became darker but not that dark untill all the 'enforcer' start to block me..

I did ask about free gift and cash rebate before buying my car. My salesman said yes there are free gift or cash rebate to all normal proton cars only. R3 is not included
