Depends on what you want in a car. If you want a car that is fun to drive, the R3 is worth it - for the price you are paying. If you are looking for comfort, luxury - look elsewhere. Build quality is an issue that affects all Protons and you have to be mindful that you may need to spend quite a lot of time at Proton Edar Service Centres getting the problems ironed out.
The R3 is a different kind of luxury, given its price alone :)

need annot wor open a thread? anyway R3 sucks cuz of siemens ECU :D same goes to all the proton who's running under the siemens ECU... =\ i'm a victim of it..
change wat? ECU? can, but u new car change back to MMC ecu, waranty bo lioa and also its gonna cost u 1k+, u'll have to change wirings, throttle body etc etc to adapt to the MMC ecu. not worth it IMHO.
