velvet, mojo (we'll its not totally a club but...), my friends are helping out at this new place called Rain which is where I went over the weekend. It's where Modesto's is in Sri Hartamas. It was the grand opening as was really packed.

It's not a club but another friend of mine is opening a chill out joint in Mont Kiara. Aside from a variety of drinks, they are serving Jap food. It's where the very first Souled Out was located. Opposite Plaza Sunrise, Mont Kiara... next to Coffee Bean. They'll be open in two weeks time.

Thought I'd piggy back on this thread.

My friend is opening a place called Somo in Mont Kiara. They will be unofficially open for business as of tonight (Thursday). They grand opening will be on the 28th of November. If any of you want to check it out, it's located opposite Plaza Mont Kiara, next to Coffee Bean. It's where Souled Out very first opened. They have a nice open concept and are run very tastefully. They have employed party planners and ambassadors to get to know customers. There is an outdoor bar (in fact, most of it is outdoor with mist fans of course) and the concept is very much chill out. So if anyone's interested but don't get my directions, please let me know so I can relay it to you over the phone.

One of their partners is the owner of Little Daisaku which is a chain of Japanese restaurants. During the night, they will be serving sushi 'dim sum' style to appeal to people like Satria. The prices are decent given it's location and the crowd is very much the matured sort (it's the direct opposite of a 'feng tau' place basically). Do drop by when you can boys and girls. Would be a good opportunity to meet up.

On a separate note, I happened to drop by Soda last night to check out the renovation and there was this Taiwanese hip-hop dude that made a cameo. They spent heaps on refurnishing the place but it looks much better now. As some of you may know, it was really dark and dodgy last time.
