there are people who drive it leisurely and there are enthusiast. I would like to think we fall on the category of enthusiast. How many people believe me that the spyder can and will out corner faster and higher spec cars? (bar an elise, or a 4 WD scobbie).

Your perception of the spyder before actually putting it to its paces? I should think your constant spyder drives now actually shows there is more to the spyder thats on paper. Now that you have taken the spyder to some twisties.

Most people think with *ONLY* 140HP how to out accelerate higher HP cars? it *feels* slow but even at 4-5 gear change (on mine) the only car keeping pace with me on the highway back from was a white spyder. (While i know you took a leisure drive back after heavy lunch) ;) . There were some nice cars that tried to follow both of us on return journey, to the extend some shown their mantle by trying out puff me car. sorry we were just to nimble to be caught behind.

however the above is not a racing story nor i sure i be put to in shade by a turbo EVo 7/8, or STI but heck that car is twice the cost of my car .
(while i also knoe, lightning yellow ben also will out puff me without any effort ;) )

Enuff of brewing. The owner (black mrs) must feel that she/he wants to move on.It is an excellent starting base MRS i might say (with the sportivos!!).

a few tweats like FI'ed will have that car out accelarate even a entry to mid section german marque sports car. a hogwash pipe dream ? :D

and oh did i add that the spyder was pretty frugal in fuel comsumption? :)

but there are ppl out there that actually needs to be re-introduce about that car in order to become an enthusiast from the leisure catagory (thats my opinion anyway)
unfortunately we did not have the the opportunity to meet this owner, but then again there is so many MR-S owner out there, m sure most falls in the enthusiast catagory (otherwise y buy such an impractical car) waiting to be discover by us(or being discover by them).

BTW, on the highway, was driving hard, catching up with u guys, but sudden phone call regarding my MR2, then u guys disappear (damn! nibble little rides). then was driving 170~180km/h, zig-zagging for 5 min but still couldn't see any tails resembling any MR-S, so have to drive slow loh and enjoy the ride.

u guys really gosok that engine of yours. me on the other hand still sayang it. he he. maybe still new.:D

will be waiting for ur car with 2ZZ-GE

BTW someone i know is selling his sportivos (4 dampers, 4 springs).

::These are specifically designed by TRD for the MRS. Made in Japan matched dampers & springs.

Will lower the MRS by about 2 cm, with the wheels filling the wheel arch nicely.

Improves handling, better steering response and slightly firmer ride without being harsh. Clears carpark & speed humps w/o problem.::

Paid RM7000++ for it, asking for RM3000. interested? :)

The owner is going for another struts that aren't parking friendly at all :)

who knows, maybe owner can afford 350z convertable, new Merc SLK?

there will come a time where a car will fit your budget. maybe next year you get salary increase/naik pangkat?

you never know. I worked really hard too to own my dream car outright.
had a MR2 mk1 in '94 when salary enough to hit 3K. Once you own a Mid engine ride, FF cars seem like :rolleyes:

eh halo, your purchase of the altezza is quite recent la. Enjoy it first. (keep it if possible) From italian coupe to japanase coupe to nippy jap sports car? :)

Getting a MRS (2 seater) is a trade off for some people who has been in life commuting in 4 Dr cars. Not easy for some and it acknowledge generally cars are reaaaallly way to expensive to really own . (Thanks to up to 9 years repayment ) that people are able to afford cars.

It is seen as a luxury (owning a sports car) and more often than naught you dont get bucketfull of luggage area.

The trade off is you find out what fun driving is all about! Will78, since you have owned nice powerhaus car before, it will be good to contemplate FI if you chose this MRS. (since handling dept is well taken care off). A certain yellow southerner has no regrets!! ;)

in open road, elise is dead meat against your car la.

autocross, memang susah. I driven an elise before (stock), it takes a lot to come close.

in track (depends on layout), we can do quite well (again not stock)
