A fren of mine bought a brand new Hyundai Matrix some where March 2006. After 2 months later, 1 of the EON bank officer called my fren & inform her that the Original Registration card was lost, they couldnt found it. Bank said the agent lost it while agent said is the bank because they already ackowledge received all document from the Agent.
Some where in May, after the bank called, they ask my fren to make a police report, send the car to JPJ inspection & re-apply a salinan RC. My fren did not do so, because they request the Bank officer to log the report since they are the 1 who lost it! They mention will get back to my fren after every think is settle....
Up to now, December 2006, they still didnt get back to us, I called the agent, he no longer working there, but still willing to help if we need it. Called the EON bank officer Mr Ng (Assist. Manager) again, his is onleave untill 22nd Dec 06, speak to the Head of department, Mr Wong, he reply he know nothing about the case!! he will call the Mr Ng & find out what happen & get back to me, already wait for 2 days, still no reply.
I have few question here.
1. What is the normal procedure to get back the salinan RC for this kind of case?
2. Can we request compensation on this since the owner need to apply leave & run here & there to settle these hassle things. Ofcos the resell value of the car will affected. If yes, what kind of compensation it will be?
If anyone gone thru this before, please share with me.

p/s: The funny part is the office reply my fren no compensation will be given as he mention there is so many case like this, but they never compensate any 1 of them??? THEY LOST SO MANY RC CARD BEFORE???
