how to judge they are ah beng?

1. the hair must colorful as gold, red, green, white and some with heavy gel
2. they will hear techno + chinese remix but no trance and house
3. they will do something just look a like
4. talk loudly and seem like dai kor
5. wear spec at night although dark enough

i think there are logic behind Ah Beng behaviours. here are the reasons

how to judge they are ah beng?

1. the hair must colorful as gold, red, green, white and some with heavy gel
Due to their occupation hazard and high risk job (illegal, pirated vcd, dvd peddler, no-license handphone seller), coloring their hair reduce the chances of being recognized by their victims. Lesser problem in business.


2. they will hear techno + chinese remix but no trance and house
Techno music is actually an effective way of learning English. Techno songs are known for their loud and repetitive lyrics, therefore techno is ideal media for learning English, at the same time enjoying the fast pace beats.


3. they will do something just look a like? Donno what it means....

4. talk loudly and seem like dai kor
As a continuation from their learning English effort, their spoken language is regularly emphasized. Therefore, speaking loudly and clearly in the public will help them gain confidence, and also obtaining comment of their wrongly use of grammer while they were speaking aloud.


5. wear spec at night although dark enough
This aspect is related closely to point no.1. In addition, wearing spec at night also help Ah Beng to cover their black-eyes as a results from gang fights/unsucessful case of cheating/assaulting customers. Getting injured is part of the risk in doing business in Ah Beng world.
