The Formula One pre-season consists mostly of the drivers musical chair and launching of the teams new race cars for the upcoming season. It’s a mostly mundane affair right o the point that those cars roll off the stage and onto the circuit for some pre-season flogging to iron out the bugs and let the drivers have some seat time.

“Our motorsport involvement through the various teams at different levels is crucial in facilitating and generating commercial business return as well as international brand visibility. Meanwhile, our talent development initiatives are an equally important component in our motorsport portfolio. These initiatives represent Petronas’ contribution towards the development of young Malaysian talents, able to progress their racing careers from the local level to the international arena. We are realistic in that this is a process that takes time; therefore it is crucial to first establish a strong foundation from which these talents can first be nurtured,” said Medan Abdullah.
