Inline enginelah bro.. if MyVi IS a rotary... I'd sell my Datsun 510 and Satria.

if one count the cycle (rotary) of its pistons to do a continuous complete combustion vs a 4 cylinder car; if you equate both the cycles to an equal amount ;
One should 'teoratically' rated the 1.3 rotary mazda as 2.6L!!

Lets put a hypotactical situation ;) why mazda did it that way (divide by half the cc) is....

:D

... pay less road tax ... ha ha ha. U'r rite mate, driving my 12A rotary feels like a 2 liter engine!

Gotta wait 2 more months... my dad bought one for my sis. I may not like it though... esp the build quality.

I think you just go and buy that Myvi la..Don't susah hati anymore..Cz if you want to compare to other cars or want to concern about body, interior, dashboard, engine, etc, never end you know..If you'all says Perodua is not good, buy Proton..If Proton not good, buy Perodua..If both not good, buy continental car..At the end, people will say continental car also not good, high price for maintainance..Then go to Kerean car..But one prople here claimed that Spectra not good..So what else yang tinggal? Japanese car? Then you got to have a high budget on car..At least RM70-100K..Want Evo or Skyline, so spend lar above RM150K...You can buy two Myvi lah..So, what to do at the end? Buy motorcycle? Hahahaha..

Try to accept Malaysian car lar..They perah otak to produce good car for you all..Perodua is better than Proton mostly Malaysian says that..So buy Perodua..Myvi is better than Kenari, then buy Myvi..

At keast, Myvi have a latest technology..EFi, VVT-i, DOCH (for power), and it safe for a fuel consumption..You all know that after December (next year lar..1st January) that fuel price will increase up to RM2 per litre?? So, what to do..Got to get a new technology to safe for our life..!! I vote for Myvi if compare to nearly 100 model car sold in Malaysia..

I also want to sell my Turbo car and wish to get Myvi one day in future..Currently got to spend around RM300 for car maintainance every month..To replace wear and tear stuff..That the price to maintain old car (1992)..Although my car is very fast car, but like track car lar, got to replace stuffs before it become worst..

Don't want Japanese or Continental car..High Price and High Maintainance..

waited for 4 months liao, now dun feel like want to buy it, wanna switch car..
long waiting period is bad for sales.

emm..do u ever test drive it..and ever test drive it most nearest rival savvy??

do u ever think of doing a research bout the things u want to purchase?..at least u know something apart from it look..

nowaday lots of beatifull gal..but useless when we need them the most..

think about it..

Myvi

I am an owner of a Myvi and was an owner of a souped up eg6. I have to say the Myvi is a nice, practical car altho nothing compared to the performance of the mightly B16a. Thank god the radio is built in, otherwise I will be worried whenever I park the car outside my house or in any carpark...(it would have been nice if I could fit in an Alpine 7998R tho, but nevermind).

For the amount of money invested, the car is worth it. If you want performance+handling+comfort+space+cheap, go buy a Mahindra Scorpio!

my friend already switch to Picanto after the salesman telling him to wait 7month to get Myvi. He already tested both car and feel that Picanto is given more space than Myvi.

actually it quite a things when deciding to buy a car. my uncle use to say..buy thing because u want it hardly, not because u just want it.

anyway if u want to use it for 2 years only and then trade in it for something else, any car can be ur choice depend on ur budget/ monthly installment.

only rich people afford to buy a car and use for 2 years then leave them to rot... for poor people like us, we use 2 years to think and plan for a new car...

and worst still use it for daily transportation and for balik raya event...then u can imagine urself what will happen when those oldies clog the road..

i'm not saying all oldies are clogger but..from my experience living in places like kelantan..this is a big issue that our transportation ministry can see. i wonder if they send their oldies to puspakom, what will the impression of the inspection officers...maybe we need subsidi also for buying cars..

hakhakhaa...emm no joke man

Regarding bout 86hp in a myvi and compare myvi to eg6/eg9. Don't make me laugh my friend. Who cares bout the 86hp, it's not a race car. Myvi 'Ultimate spacious machine' is the slogan. Means this car is for comfort and not racing. Want a fast car? Buy a race car.
If you talk bout eg6/eg9. I like that car too but it's a car more than 10yrs. Looking up for performance? Go for it if you are really into vtec and you might not even can get the loan for the car. But we are all here talking bout 40k-50k car. It's just an affordable car for most Malaysian. Don't expect anything like 150hp or 200hp car. Think Think. And there are already parts for you to change the frame for the audio system.

Of course u can't compare your Myvi with B16A (pls don't use the word almighty here..since B16A was not the best engine in the market).

See a non-practical Myvi Vs. B16A here. Eveyone knew that.

Bryan90, i think what you said is true loh, coz just now my friend call me he just book one
MyVi already, and he said the fastest to get the car is 3 month.... ??? but i think have to wait more than that since so many people booking....... mmmm anyway still wanna have a look on this sunday..... cheers

dun worry la.. nowadays perodua has closed down their kembara line.. they ll add myvi production line.. so waiting list for normal spec is 1 - 3 months depending on the colours chosen.. meanwhile for full spec wise, waiting list is about 6 months max.. well, if u all want to get it fast, take red colour loh... or less demanding colour la.. usually black, silver and maybe white oso are highly in demand..

Johndoe,
1000% sure. Even i think Kelisa Auto is way much better than MyVi. Like Kelisa, u can feel the torque (pickup). Why not u test drive it first. Full throttle can't even feel the VVT & torque. whenever i floored pedal & dragged at 2 GEAR (Auto Car) , really feel like no ummph at all. Weird!!

My opinion is that the detuned YRV 1.3 turbo engine really not work for NA. Or they just detuned the car for test drive purpose. Who knows!.

haiya.. that wan u cant compare la.. u must compare apple to apple.. kelisa is a lot lighter compare to myvi and therefore for myvi to accelerate, u need extra time ma.. if u compare in terms of overall performance plus comfy-ness, of course myvi is a better buy whereby their price difference is not much le..

on the other hand, servicing myvi is not that expensive as u would thought.. also, it has much options for u to mod and it'll definitely looks a lot better if u convert into toyota passo racy or sports edition.. try browsing thru myviclub.com...

cheers mike! no offence ya.. :_:
