to all sifu ~

besides i going to purchase a new rims and tyre soon.., there's something i need to ask...

currently I'm using R14 which is 185/70/R14 (huge.. the previous owner changed it)... and now i plan to get a rim which is R15 ...

what's the best tyre i need to get? at least increase some performance .. how about 195/50/R15 ?

would it be the same as my currenty (185/70/R14) ?

I'm driving 4doors EJ7 s-v

Brother using 15 compare to 14' rim cant help u to increase performance on power but its will help a little on handling. Choose light weight sport rim will also help... i mean really light rim...

I am using 195/50/15... it is the standard for local EJ while JDM is using 195/55/15

as for good tyre... u can consider using Bridgestone Potenza RE 711, is old design but value for money... as for better tyre you can consider Yokohama Advan Neova.... it is one of the highly recommended performance tyre... of cos Falken also had very good performance tyre....

But if u prefer to have normal type of pattent for u tyre ... go for michellin is the best among all

Just my 2cent

yan,
r u sure std ej size is 195/50/15? my ej6 is 185/60/14.

cheers!

my EJ8 is 185/65/14. comfortable enough for me and i'm thinking of upgrading to 195/55/15 but then again, i'm on the road most of the time so i figured out that i cannot compromise handling over comfort. the least i can do now is to get a nice grippy 14" tyre.

yup... yup... changing from 14" to 15" won't give extra performance to your car. maybe result on traction will be differ.

crower75... where dissapeared? kawin edi aaa? going or not tis 29th? convoy? parimus? p/head? itrdc2?

so .. i would go for
195/50/15 then ~ thanks all the sifu ~

Lightweight Rim , taiwan made offer from sunway .

for more better look and traction is 195/50/15...

the important thing is rim offset...good offset for honda rim is 40~45...

dont buy rim offset 38 coz will 'sagat' to yr fender if to lowered/full passenger....

but if rim offset 45 no problem.

thanks .. i almost forget about the offset.

am not so soon to lower down the car yet, but i'll take ur advise on it.

185/70/R14 - good if you carry many peoples at all time

195/50/R15-good if you only carry yourself and you may sacrifice like, 40% of the comfort.

is there any significant differences on
195/50/R15 and 195/55/R15? in terms of comfort?

I guess no, but it's a matter of 1 to 2 fingers.

If you are using 195/50/R15, the gap between the fender and the tyre is quite large and looks a 4WD unless you already have a good drop on your car. :)
