Help! Mysterious Blinking Green Turbo Light (GSR)

hey guys,


Need some input from the sifus a bit... this headache is really driving me crazy...

Here's the situation, swapped my air filter two days ago... and that's where the problem started.

After the swap, the car didn't drive like it used to... I noticed a huge drop in power (about 20% at least). The turbo will spool up like normal, and the boost comes in as usual but the power is just not there... feels like something is holding the car back.

(By the way, other than swapping the air-filter, nothing else in the engine bay was touched, which makes this problem even wierder... it just came out of nowhere)

And I noticed the biggest headache after that... in between gears, the little green turbine light will blink. And this is during throttle-off and clutch-in. This has never happened before...

And then afterwards I also noticed that the green light, which used to come on at 0.1 bar of boost only comes on now at around 0.4bar....

Any helpful input will really be appreciated, guys. Thanks...

me and my mech checked for vacuum leaks hose by hose... no leaks... but the lil green light still blinks. my car is sick. :s

why dun u try put back the previous filter and see wat happen?

i suspect u have touched the MAF sensor and its harness

you're right, the new air filter that I put in was blocked. and that was the cause of the power loss.

yea bro, i did, cuz while trying to put in the new filter I had to hold the MAF sensor and the harness... does this have to do with the green light? I took a look at the wires and they all seem fine/connected... cuz I didnt even disconnect the MAF from the harness...

oh, btw, is there a downside to the green light not working properly?

cuz the car seems ok now (powerwise)... the green light never comes on when i'm throttling hard... only when i'm driving slowly and there is a slight bit of release from the blowoff everytime i shift, thats when the green light blinks a bit...

and it only comes on at around 0.3-0.4 bar of boost...
