Furry dash and animal motif interior??

I wonder whats with the trend of having the below in cars I see on M'sian roads...........

1) Fur on dash
2) Model car on dash
3) Rewrapped interior in tiger stripes/zebra stripes/LV/Gucci leatherlike/etc....
4) LV/Gucci motif stickered roof panel

I can never understand people who put those furry and zebra shit. These stuff belongs to the showrooms not everyday driving.

I won't take participation in competition as an excuse too. The driver should immediately remove those shit after competition or showcar coz its horrendous to be driving around with those girly stuff. I cannot imagine if they pick up a company guest or a long time friend and when the guest/friend sees the stuff inside the car, he'll probably laugh his lungs out.

somtimes i feel a car is a car, i really cant stand those who put a dozen of soft toys in their car, maybe 1 or 2 for decoration is fine. but those who fill the cars with those toys + zebra, leopard skin really do make it like a zoo....

Not all ppl treat their car as a sport performance machine mah. Some treat it like their Baby. In tax land, ppl are enslaved when buying a car. Due to poor public transport, ppl have to buy car. A lot of ppl's salary after pay monthly installment and mantainance to car, only left tiny fraction enough to eat and for other cost of living. So the car is so dear to them. They like to dress it up like their baby mah...Some ppl's house sofa also got these Zebra n Leopard skin design mah...

hehe.. jeanloo, you have a good point there. My way of endearment comes in the form of constant cleaning of the car's exterior & interior.

drawing back to these deco being used in autosalons / "beauty pageants"... if I were the judge, I won't give any creativity points coz they're overdone and so not original (anymore). This ain't Sydney Autosalon 1998 anymore.
Keep that big bad stuffed tiger at home in yr bedroom. ngaaaahahahhaa!

I am not into the Tiger and other Stuffed toys also. I notice that mostly Malays are very fond of the Stuffed Tiger. No my car is without the fur. I think this kind of wrapping is more suitable to K-Car. Particularly when other type of Modification such as Huge Spoiler, Ultra Big Rims, Ultra Lowered, Dummy Air Scoop, Huge Exoz and etc to a K-Car to makes it looks like it can fly will define the Driver as a Rice Boy. While a bit cosmetic touch up in the cabin to make it look cute is more suitable. I saw a Red Myvi in Sunway Pyramid back in Oct 2006 with the zebra wrapping to the interior and I think it's cool. Wrapping of side panel and roof is ok but some ppl really over do it, such as wrapping the whole dashboard, hand brake and even the gear knob, yucks! So many ZTH forumers have done it, why no one who have done it give some feedbacks on why they did it here?

i know theres some ppl like to mod their wira with big big spoiler,big exhause,fake spiners,etc,etc, so depends on their own taste lar.if u dont like it just u dont like it, dont tell ppl to take it off or what so ever
what happen if a rich guy buy a bently and spray it zebra colour and zebra interior
but still have the clasiness in side,takan u want go in front of that guy say take it off,
i would say they are creative,they spend their hard earn money just to deco their car

a big no no for me. those stuffs will ruin my classic car appearance. Looks feminine to me, and to a certain extent - childish.

from safety point of view, adding colorful fur onto dash panel top will hamper visibilty in certain lighting contions, since the fur image is reflected on the windscreen. that's why auto makers still make cars with black/dark/dull matte and plain surface dash panel-to reduce windscreen reflection.

dangling softtoys definitely reduce all around visibility if attached on rear/side screen, and also has a potential of distracting the driver attention.

a good visibility is the key to driving safety.
