I am currently using a full set of Kakimoto JASMA Certified exhaust system for my 180SX. Full set meaning, frontpipe, center piece and end piece. If I'm not mistaken it's a 3" pipe all the way from the center to the end, where the tail is about 4.5".
The question is, will I be able to pass the JPJ/PUSPAKOM test when I bring the car back with me at the end of next year? I have heard that 4.5" is a bit too big for the tail, and I was thinking about changing the end piece with something with a smaller diameter, maybe 4" or smaller.
I will put the catalyzer back on for the test, since I now am using a straight catalyzer replacement pipe.
Another question is, after I pass all the test, will I get something to certify it? Say I get stopped at a roadblock or something, can the police/JPJ fine me for having a big muffler, despite the fact I've already passed all the tests and have something to show for it?
Thanks in advance..
