i got 1 S flow from 5zigen that i used to use on my savvy.

intending to install on my perdana some time later this month.

any good things to buy while in ipoh?

but s flow titanium mufflers are very expensive, used on r35, exo x etc...

wow crazy la wanna get titanium muffler.
one crazy guy that has titanium exhaust is shah decapullet.
his exhaust is titanium from turbo back to muffler.
i think HKS full system from Evo7.
wanna mod and do welding also very hard to get exhaust shop with titanium welder..
price also gila.. haha..

can i ask,

why titanium? apart from light weight, what benefits it brings to the car?

and straight muffler, is it aka bullet type?

with outlet 5', i suppose the sound output really roars

not sure, i know its only lightweight
i was using hks super dragger 2.5"" inlet 5" outlet it does roar.

Apart from lightweight, the sound is a little bit different... vy hard for me to describe but you can compare.. just like when you change SUS between GI piping.. the sound of the straight pipe you hear from the rear is slightly different, mainly due to the thickness and the properties of the material.. titanium sound is lighter and the roar is much more compact (padat) i would say.. personally heard my fren's R34 with titanium muffler and SUS muffler.. same size inlet and outlet just material difference.. the sound is just marvellous.. if you coupled with the whole piping... wah.. drool... :driver:

inlet not important, 3" also can cos the inlet piping can be reduced. outlet is important.

actually Danz, the inlet is important. it cannot be too large or too small.
yes the size can be reduced, but the resonator/canister part also needs to be the similar size.
if too big will loose the scavenging effect, or too small cause too much back pressure.
it will effect NA cars more than turbos.

the outlet (exhaust tip) not important coz its just cosmetic.
but dont go too small than the inlet.

i think the exhaust shop need to whack and kemek the place to join the piping, coz 2 and 3 inch big diff. performance wise, the 3 inch should be very short only right? else i reckon will got drop in acceleration because the hot air might 'relax' at the 3 inch area.hehehe

my advice is to get similar size if u cannot get the same.
meaning, dont go too big.
say, ur piping is 2", then go for 2.25" (2 and a quarter inch) is ok, or maybe 2.5" can.
for NA cars, its very difficult to play with the sizes, for auto cars even more effect will have..
what i can say is, stick to the standard size, even if u wanna change to stainless steel or titanium pipes

last time on NA, i tried playing to piping size. increase only 1 or 0.5 inch. big diff. but petrol like crazy! so in the end i used back OEM muffler.save abit petrol while enjoying the advantage of increase piping size. it shines on above highway speed
