DIY pioneer hu aux-in

hi, i've just done a diy aux-in for my pioneer hu that supports aux-in. If you don't want to buy the aux-in cable from pioneer, this is what you can do. thought i'll share it with you all ;) enjoy

yes, you can do that too. I wrote a diy for that sometime ago. check it out. But you need to do some more modifications to switch back to your radio function ;) using a relay should solve the problem ;)

wat u mean? u mean after connect the pda and turn on the usic, the hu will automatically turn into the pda in mode u setted? so if we dunwan use the pda, we need to disconnect the input from pda?

no, you have to change into "aux in" mode on your player manually IF your player supports the aux in. you don't have to disconnect the input from the pda.

but if you have a NON-AUX IN player like the DEH 1650, then you must disconnect the input if u dun wanna listen to it anymore. you must also turn to "TUNER" mode when u wanna use the aux-in for a NON AUX IN player.

i had found a better way for the hu tat got aux in..no need to void the warranty and no need soldering..if got time i post how it go....

i am using pioneer 5750... it does support AUX input but need the adapter which cost around RM300... and need to special order one...

the adapter u mention are for the rca connection only
...if u wan the serial ipod connector, then it cost u rm6++/8++..i ask pioneer myself...too pricy....should just 6+/8+

you know how to enable the aux-in option? mine is switch off and hold the function button and then set aux-in to "ON". after u solder the cables and switch to aux-in mode, you can use ur aux-in liaw.

lets say the player has Aux-In (RCA).

get a 3.5mm phono jack to RCA type of cable... which costs like RM 2.00+

so.. from ur MP3 player... plug in the phono jack, the other end RCA goes to the AUx-in of the HU.

by this way, can it work? i hvent tried b4..

i know how to swithch on the AUX mode... but the thing is based on your pic right... i dun understand a thing le... which one solder to where and which one solder to where....

i jus need to do a RCA input to the HU... so tht i can use tht HU as a pre-amp for my DVD player... cuz my DVD player only has one pair of RCA but i need three pair of them for my amps and the 5750 has three pair of them...
