CAr jerks at 2k rpm..help plz!

hi guys..need help..
dad's car havin prob...he's drivin a 97 TX3 (bugs eye) Lynx..b8 manual..
when drivin..car always jerks at around 1.8k to 2.2 rpm..in 2k rpm region..
the feeling of the jerks is like not enough fuel entering in engine..like lagg combustion..hope u guys cud help me..thanks loads!

check intake .. air filter .. throttle body .. spark plugs ..

i suppose only the take off having problem rite? top speed is smooth ;)

urm..actually 1st gear all fine...2nd gear sumtimes when reaching 2k rpm..jerks..sumtime didnt...but 3rd and 4th will jerk at 2k...5th also got..

but if throttle body; why only low RPM?.....
guess it's the A/F sensor or ECU mapping ler.....
not sure; just a thought.

mine at low RPM also jerk; (auto car) so usually idling is bad cos low RPM. My throttle body was being taken out and clean last year when i got some problems. Pass 3 months also done engine de-cabornising....so guess my throttle body is clean.
My gut feel is still my ECU mapping cos I've changed my ECU last year during my problem to a chop shop ECU.
Was thinking if not going to C&C; where else can I re-tune my ECU?

take off the batt for 1 hour then put back mah can loh...resetted ur ecu...

if u have a aft mkt fuel regulator, take that out & replace with standard. see if that helps

spark plugs and plug cables just changed last week..TB oso mech clean d...hmm...

mine is with aircond on than u could feel the jerk.......

a member used to had this thing called FICD problem that cause jerking ... u may check if this is the culprit.

my dad has sent the car to Ford itself...and they have found out the problem..
they said the Air Flow Sensor and ECU kong d...
they quoted my dad RM4k!!! (original item from ford of cuz) and my dad got shock, i told him tht can change engine d ( sorta poison him..keke) but the ford fella said can try searchin it at chop shops for around 2k plus..
i'd like to kno actually around how much does it cost for the Air Flow Sensor and the ECU in half cut condition? thanks alot..

urs is Ford Lyxn 1.8 ? air flow sensor is B6PE and engine is BP rite ?
if yes let me know, i have ur ecu (ur model and another model too)...... both item will cost u less then what other quote u ...
