how much issit?

but its line of sight la, not underground wan - hehe

cost thousand something back then

A friend of mine once told me that the shorter the distance the alarm is able to detect, the better it is. However this applies to one way alarm system. He says that good alarm system, you need to go near the car only it will open the door when you press the button.

He says that for normal Proton/Perodua alarm, from miles away you can disarm the alarm while for branded alarm like Viper, you need to be quite close before the alarm disarms. I don't know how true this is.

Anyways earl-ku, i'm not running your car alarm down, just sharing something my friend told me.

Maybe they want to prevent accidental disarming from accidentally pressing the alarm when they're far away from the car. Just my 2 cents

my kelisa standard 1way alarm 16th floor... my current myvi 20m also cannot..

I fear that u might "ter-disarm" your car alarm without knowing......the thief would be too happy to see such incident...

i know, that is true when a - one-way alarm is being talked about, but all 2-way alarm plus most good 1-way alarm has auto lock and will beep you when it has auto-locked, so you do not need to worry bout that ... thats my point la

most good alarm will have auto-lock function these days ...

for me, i dont like sensitive alarm that can beeps from far away... coz sometimes u might accidently press on it and dont know whether ur car unarmed adi or not... have to walk back to ur car and check... troublesome lor...

my car need to be 1 metre max away from the car only can beep... haha... battery weak kua... but i not irritated by it...

ok dudes here......i am noob....can explain to me what is the differences of 1 way alarm and 2 ways alarm?

got 3 ways..... 4 ways.... 5 ways..... highway or subway alarm or not? lol kidding

my Iswara Aeroback stock alarm also need to walk until very near by only able to lock... or as what SkYwAlKeR said, battery weak... hehe...

prodigy.. i dont think so loh.

my crapy proton alarm remote .. i had to stand real close to the car then only it can unlock/lock... while my dad's previous car.... wit viper... can unlock the car fr upstairs... and same goes to my current wheel's alarm on my charade.

heh he hheh...
