donno how to describe the part, where it joins to the exhaust the size is bigger. Is that called the exhaust manifold?

Coz I got the full turbo set including actuator.

exhaust ports or izzit the manifold hole where its connected with the turbine ?. so hows the performance ?. twin fin better or single ?. i mean in terms of over all performance . what boost are u runing on ?

should be the exhaust ports, coz the mech asked me to go to the exhaust shop to have it welded, its under the car.

overall I prefer the 16g la of coz but there is a small lag, lose 500rpm at the bottom but gain 1500rpm at the top, so overall better and the turbine kick in feels stronger. Can't test fully coz of the boost leak problem. Somewhere is leaking, I can see from the boost meter the needle goes up slower compared to last time. This happens to both my previous turbine and the new one so it should not be the turbine problem.

currently running on 1 bar to be on the safe side.

Danny, quite fast u upgrade to a new Big 16G huh? Yes, feeling is exactly what you described.. boost starts at 5k rpm all the way to 7k. Sweet spot is between 5500 to 6500.. shift at this point. At 7k power begins to taper off.

What u talking about i think is the downpipe, I had to do some mods to the exhaust to fit the 16G too.

Ves, of course 2fin better ler... can blow better. :lol:

how come urs start at 5000rpm only? or is it a typo? I get full boost at approx 3500rpm, starting just before 3000. Previously even faster la coz smaller turbine, start just after 2000rpm and full boost at 3000.

yeah i know , but then blow better but im sure its response much slower then the single :lol: . i aready bolted on the 16G but never test it out yet cause , my engine is still on the floor :lol: .

btw what are the ways to increase boost response? I only know of 2 ie. getting an aftermarket boost controller, and rebore the engine to 2.2 litres (but petrol cost even more...)

Aiks, typo ... yeah, danny, same as your discription.

Dolly, of course lar danny got more cfm!! His snail turbine bigger than mine somemore :o

But, ves ... got MONSTER going to come out soon :o :o going to eat everone with his iswara. But comparing the TD05 to the TD05H i reckon than the twin fin response if better.. size is almost the same but the obvious is the fins. I'm not sure, maybe someone that has tried both can comment..

haiseh, I finally found what problem it caused to have boost leak, the bloody intercooler hose was torn, thats why can hear pssssss leaking sound during wot. The tear was very minor, thats why it didn't cause the engine to idle badly, and only noticable during full boost.

I'll be away for a while on holidays, however will drop by his place maybe next week.. for a routine oil change and clear my bills.. :P

mine small snail only la... got it only because someone wanted to buy my old one and I only paid RM600 for the turbo.

Still haven't done dyno yet got some minor piping to do coz changing to the E3 intercooler. After that only can do dyno... won't be expecting much, if I get close to 250whp I'll be satisfied.
