Boost meter goes up but no boost

small 16g has higher efficiency # than large16g (cooler denser air). it also is possible for the small g to outflow the larger 16g

runnin the larger 16g won't be much diff...unless u strap it on dyno and see the numbers...if not...it'd be a guy feeling thingy...

everything else is tha same except for the exducer which has a wider base , which actually translates to more compresses air.....then again, you might need a better intercooler to optimise the hotter air... ;)

ohh.. ok, coz ms jun once said he might wanna upgrade from small 16g to big 16g.. I also scratch head... didn't know how much difference it would make.

wah .. look like u all enjoying the snails
hehe.. bring to tong can use same housing bt 20g ? i heard someone said can do it wor.. but i dunno :D just a beginner..

fooh, jun's cat is out of the bag!

danny, go straight for 18G lar. small g can flow more than big 16g but 18g eats all of them for brunch

btw why does everyone advocate large 16g from the compressor maps it looks like smallg is better?

puttin in a larger turbo or compressor wheel may not mean much if u do not have the other hardwares to get the right mixture... ;)

- fuelling
- piping size
- intercooler size and efficiency
- and the list goes on.... :D

how much boost can the stock vr4 intercooler take for 16g? I'm using supra turbo fuel pump & 510cc injectors.

I don't want outright massive power which is unusable, something more suited for track use & to maximise the current capibility of an FF car. Current setup max out around 2 min 5x secs for the sepang track, would like it to be able to go 2 min 4x secs if possible.

talk boost boost turbo turbo

then suspension
kekekekeke

i sort all my suspention problem before boosting it up

suspension's fine when I tested it, only 2 things that coudn't make it ie. brakes and tyres... now already upgraded both of them.

if u wanna take on the track... you'd probably be lookin at Throttle Response... so bumping up the boost wud not help you in this dept...

try looking at bumping up your Ignition...this wud give u more throttle response especially if u wan performance around the circuit...

Throttle response ?
Save your $$$
Sell the car or throw the engine
get a nissan, convert to GTiR
4 Throttle Turbo.. going to give you all the response you need
kakakakak

Danny.
tyre and brake doesnt mean you are done with your suspension setup

Overall and total solution is best

throttle response sounds right, but the 16g also provides better torque right?

cmng... what kind of advise is that la..kekke I'm not asking which new car to buy, anyway it's useless to run 4 throttle for turbos engines.

I've already checked the suspension in the last run, there's no need to change it, the evo suspension held very well only no grip from the front tyres.. the car was squeeling like a pig around corners (ventus H rating, what to do...). Brakes also worked but didn't last & it wore out during the track session, could hear the brake indicator noise already.

4 throttle on Turbo Engine is useless
kekeke
Did you know RB26DETT original is 6 Throttle Turbo

For Fast Respone, individual throttle is the best,
for DRAG application big big throttle is solution

But why 4 throttle is useless to a lot people
you ask those tuner to tune a 4 throttle Turbo car with MAF sensor
fecking bitch to tune
Second thing.. a lot work need to fabricate it to run 4 throttle from a single throttle car

dann...

better torque doesn't derive from putting juz the turbo in...
u have to look at what range wud u get the peak torque...
and also wat gadgets u got to tweak the engine to respond faster then u wud get the best and highest torque in the earliest range of the RPM...

ok thanks for the advise, the other day the over fuelling problem was fixed but I think still there's some leak somewhere... when WOT there is a loud 'hiss' sound coming out from the engine compartment. After some heavy trashing the brakes also started to fade.... looks like goodridge steel braided hoses are next on the list.

Also I was advised to get a spare pair semi-slicks for the front during track use. How does semi-slick tyres perform?

ok just installed, here's the difference I found :-

td05 single fin - spool start at 2000+ rpm, full boost at 3000rpm until 5500rpm before dropping
td05 big 16g twin fin - spool start closer to 3000rpm, full boost at 3500rpm until 7000rpm did not notice any drop at high rpms

still got the boost leak problem so hopefully can find a solution.

big turbo is laggy
but have top end

small turbo is responsive
but no top end
