i have a prob with my soundsystem. when ever the sub thumps my dashboard and head lamps blink towards the beat. i only have a simple setup. 1 4 channel amp 60 rms 2 channel towards the woofer. can anyone help solve my prob?
about the alternator, i just changed it bout 3 months ago. i dont have a grounding kit. it was worst before, then my mech added a thicker wire from battery to chassis and 1 from engine to chassis. but the lights still blink but not as bad.
wat ur mech did for u is more like a grounding....by using thicker wire....u might want to conisder installing a grounding kit (after market or DIY).....but that wont help much......i suggest u install a voltage stabiliser (after market or DIY)......my friend did install the voltage stabiliser and the result is good whereby the voltage is stable (no more light blinking) and the bass have more uummpph....
p/s: for grounding kit and voltage stabiliser you can DIY it....there is a share learning thread in here....in DIY forum
i heard capacitors are expensive, what bout voltage stabiliser how much is it? i was mistaken. what my mech did was 1 wire from battery to gearbox and another from engine to body
i dont know if u love Helix DPC 1000 or not, Smart power cap with digital voltage display.

I want to install decor lamps below the car and need to route the wire into the car's cigarette lighter socket. Is there a non-drilling method I can use to accomplish this?
