haahaaha :P
you guys ar..
okie i help you out a bit
you'll need:
-CSM (chopped strand mat) regular stuff, it's fibreglass mat. great for beginners, itchy and hazardous as heck.
sold by weight, about RM7-8 per KG.
-polyester resin, it's the resin that bonds everything together. Should come with the catalyst, which causes the resin to harden.
RM9-10 per kg, sold every 20kg.
-gelcoat
sold in 20kg cans, RM6-7 per kg.
This is to prevent the FIRST layer of polyester to be runny. Doesn't let it drool everywhere.
-cheapo brush to apply resin
-cheapo bucket (cedong) the one you use to scoop water from water basin and splash water on your head :P
to be used as a 'palette' as you 'paint' the resin onto the fibreglass.
-roller, to squeeze out the air from the fibreglass/resin mix, as you'd want the resin to bond with the fibreglass as much as possible.
-protective clothing (no need for wanna-be Banglas and Rambos)
-gloves (also no need for the local Rambos :P )
-mold release agent, can be specialist wax or spray type.
-color dye, to color the resin and thus creating a 'molded' color that lasts as long as the resin.
examples of this finish is clearly seen on Mc'Donald's restaurant seats.
have fun and well... i'm not responsible for anything you do!
