For slower species like Pandinus imperator, it may be recommended to remove the legs or put in fridge to decrease mobilty of crickets. Note that crickets and mealworms can attack newly moulted scorpion so uneaten food is best removed. Also mealworms can severely destroy your logs and are difficult to find once they burrow deep enough. Scorpions sometimes accept dead food and may be persuaded to take them if you force in between their pincers.</p><p>Smaller scorpions can take smaller size crickets while baby scorpions take pinheads. In short, crickets are time proven food and matching the size to your scorpion, it almost guarantees success.
