[QUOTE="MystaJ, post: 482352, member: 9318"] the fuel management system is a piggyback or full replacement system of ur existing ecu. such as safc,sitc,smt,obit,unichip,motec,haltec,microtech....... for a budget of rm2000,i think it is quite tight to do this td04 project. a td04 pajero+installation+welding the adaptor and downpipe will already cost u a bomb(around rm1000).dont bother to say want to add the piggyback.a safc secondhand will cost u rm350 (5 button),blue screen around rm600.for boost control,u may use the 'tulang ikan' which is cheap but i personnaly do not think it is reliable, better go at least a proper secondhand manual boost controller which will cost u around rm200.a secondhand fcd which cost around rm200.a fuel regulator maybe a fse secondhand at rm350 not including welding work for l2 fuel rail.metal gasket +others gasket+ labour =? for question 1: i also dont know where to get those forge thingy for l2 but i know the cost is very high. for question 2: if u change ur head gasket to a more thicker one,u r lowering down ur compression ratio.skimming of head also influence the compression. my advice for u is play this engine step by step and provide this engine with care first because u just transplant ma. use some part of the rm2000 on ur car maintenance first.check the engine mounting, waterpump, belting, thermostat, fuel filter, engine oil, radiotor, drive shaft + those stupid rubber which alway worn out,bushing........ just maintain it first and drive it until u quite familiar with it then upgrade where u think not enough, maybe u will think to upgrade the suspension sytem or braking system first and some simple mod such as intake and exhaust upgrade and up boost a bit,let say 0.8-0.9 bar.
