The 300E-24 and its coupe twin 300CE-24 has a more sophisticated suspension system and it is one piece type. If you encounter problems with any part of the suspension you have to replace the whole thing! Unlike the rest of W124, which can have its suspension parts be replaced one part at a time. The best 300E-24 or 300CE-24 is the Sportline series. This entails the badging of 'Sportline' on the flanks and on the gear knobs. Most 'Sportline' versions have the 5spd auto opton first used in the SL series. Worth hunting but even overseas I came across only 2 Sportlines in my life. It is very rare.
