Whn come to stock car manufacture, cheapest is the main prior. As you mentioned, probably wun be able to hold user that well hence it explain why it wasnt use on racing. But on normal application, using those harness may overkill in terms of functionality and cost. All the seatbelt need to do is hold and not the user fly out. Thats it.this is my guess. maybe those harness withstand certain heat degree from fire? Maybe those harness belt is more strong and hard to cut off from sharp object? Also we didnt know does racing suit does have some padding so protect? Maybe those harness is to avoid user get throw around whn car terbalik?what you said i agreed though. Whn use correct, it shld be better. There must be several reason why they choose to use harness for racing after weighing the pro and consbut thn i think on this. on normal seat belt, (to those who accident before), whn u kena hold by seatbelt after a crash, u will find ur chest area pain or some even blue black. Imagine if u got harness strap on both chest. I do remmeber i saw reports of dead result ori seatbelt fracture chest ribs or internal injure. Anyway all this is based on guessing. We dont have the test and satistic to back up. why dun we write to Mythbuster. whahahaha. Ask them do a test on this. Will be very interesting to find out.</blockquote>
