(butane torch etc) which is usually caused by the burning off of oil from the cam breathers. (blow by oil from the rings or valve seals). easily fixed by installing an oil catch can to the cam breather including the pcv valve. personally its an excuse to do a huge skid to get the exhaust glowing heh heh, that'll cook any carbon off.check 02 sensor by measuring the output voltage when car is running and 02 sensor is hot. stoichometric (sp) is approx 0.5v but should range between 0v and 1v if you're getting 0v out of it.. its dead. (dont measure the power wires either)some say they fixed it by cleaning the throttles. whether its gunky around where the throttle shuts off or if the vacuum ports to the map sensor are blocked i don't know.then there's the map sensor.. check there's no damage to the vacuum hose to the map sensor. check the plug is good and the wiring is not damaged."---------- Post added at 10:56 AM ---------- 6 hour anti-bump limit - Previous post was at 10:51 AM ----------1) Nicholoas : yup, i tried a few similar things too, spark plugs, TB cleaning, exhaust systems, but apparently its just a matter of the sensors getting a wrong reading. =(2) meg_omen : Thanks! appreciate it!
