With a good tune of piggybacks or standalone, you will definitely get more horsepower. The `gain' in hp is quite subjective and it depends on the car itself. But standalones are much better than piggybacks since piggybacks are limited to the stock ECU. There's no definite answer to which ECU is the best. You need to find a good tuner. I've seen Civic with the so-called Mugen chip, Spoon chip, bla bla chip and yet they perform worst than using stock ECU + SAFC. Same goes to VR4, they claim that they have Mines ECU. But they don't have enough engine mods that suit to the Mines ECU.</p></blockquote><p></p>
