Fitted Goodyear Wrangler Triplemax on my Forester at Quicksave USJ. https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/attachments/565973.vB Trying out the Goodyear due to it's 2ply construction for the sidewall since the original tyres are passenger car tyres Continental MC5 whose sidewall have 1 ply only and feel it is a bit soft. Both tyres unmounted from the rims, the Goodyear sidewall was much harder to the touch whereas the Conti was very soft Wrangler Triplemax also have V speed rating over Conti H rating https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/attachments/565975.vB Threadwear 440 Traction A Temp A https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/attachments/565974.vB Rugged thread blocks https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/attachments/565976.vB Sidewall design also more rugged than the plain MC5 https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/attachments/565980.vB Completed https://www.zerotohundred.com/forums/attachments/565977.vB After a week use, felt that the Goodyear are a bit more bumpy due to the 2ply sidewall. Apart from the bumpier ride, the Goodyear are more stable at higher speed, less body roll, more stable at corner, all these contributed by the harder sidewall. Moreover Goodyear have emphasize these tyres for improved resistance against road hazards. Overall I like the more rugged looks of these Goodyear for the forester, The better handling and ride at high speed, better cornering, less body roll, trade off for a little more bumpier ride. Probably going to play around with the air pressure and see how they work out. Will also test out their wet traction and handling as have not been raining for the past week...:driver:
