Hi guys, Here's my experience last weeked : Took my car to sunway for a SAFC dyno tune last weekend. Initially wanted to go DMT but they've already closed down, so I went over to GT and got quoted RM3xx+ for both installation and dyno tuning. Went to N1 since my fren zero4 was there. Then I mai ask them and Melissa spoke to me and quoted me RM200. Of course, I've heard of N1 stories but since there's such a huge diff in price I decided to go for it. After all, my stock 0.6bar engine wouldnt blow that easily right? Right. The workers there were preparing and strapping my car, getting the fan ready, etc. After Desmond came back from the proton carnival in sepang he proceeded to 'tune' my SAFC. Barely minutes later, one of the rear belts snapped. Luckily the other one was still attached so it didn't hit the wall or anything. Actually, it turns out that my tow hook snapped instead. Got an explanation from them saying that it's the rust that causes it to break off from the chassis. They offer to weld it back for me. After all that explanations and stuff they said they could hook it up to my chassis (cross member i think, didnt really notice where). So I said ok. Then Mr Desmond start to do his stuff and I just watched. Revved my car, tinker abit with the SAFC, got down and tinker with the PC and repeat. He did a few runs, 4-5 runs, and thats it. They only attached a sensor into my exhaust and some grounding on my engine bay I think. Is that an accurate way of looking at the AFR? Hmmm. How does a wideband sensor looks like? Anyway the printer was kinda trashed... it printed everything fine but the HP and torque figure below was barely noticable. Will be collecting another copy from them soon, prob get the file as well if I could. Stay tune for part 2...
