help me plz..
erm my mum car kncil 850,very tenat la d enjin..'
so i wana chngr 2 L5 TWINCAM,hw much ek halfcut?tp my pren ckp L5 Xde pickup jz topspeed je..L2 much more power tp pickup jela..
but im really wana use L7 1000cc daihatsu coure ke move ntahle..
so jpj approve ke?mounting?gearbox?wiring?muatke?brp halfcut?

so which 1 much more power?but aku tul² nk pkai 1000cc turbo twincam tu..laju woo..
k tq

1000cc u dreaming lah if it can past jpj. if it is for everyday and long distance use l5 enjin is better. use as it is, dont do mods to the engine because u might end up with an empty pocket. but if u got in mind to want a faster enjin or maybe want to do mods to the engine, then l2 is the answer. think about it!... :-)

L7 1000cc turbo engine? never heard of em yet..
howbout kelisa engine? no turbo just N/a but its feed enuff ur hungry for power if fitted at kancil.. 3rd gear can spin a lil oso..

L2 L5 L7 L9 all of those are 659 cc turbo charged ...
L2 is better choice coz it has more spare parts and performance parts to upgrade ...
and the parts mostly same with kancil , so the maintenance and parts changing cost will be lower

if u wan power , buy L2 block , hybird it with your 850 block , change IHI RHF4 VF13 turbine ... detail about this u need to search the forum ...

heard from my friend,
TD04 actually is not a good choice , coz u will gain alot power , but it lags alot if compare with RHF4 VF13
RHF4 is ball bearing turbine and its' air flow is enough for about 140 hp if not mistaken

and last time i sit my mechanic's L2 with td04 ... the boost spool speed quite slow and very lag if compare with stock... but the power when full boost is good ...

correction : L7 does have a 1000cc N/A engine, it's for L7 gino 1000.. same as kelisa engine.. no turbo..

i've a kancil 882T (L2 hybrid 850 block) already fitted it with RHF4 VF13 turbo, 4E intercooler... and yes. very powerful and safistied. BUT!! if you just want daily driving car with less maintainance go for L5 as the engine is much more newer than L2.. but leave the setup as it is.. don't mod it. conversion is easy... i think most of workshop can perform it... just my suggestion..

but the size of the td04 and the rhf4 are almost the same rite?
and ive been told that thr rhf4 cant withstand high boosting.not sure..coz havent tried it yet.

the 1000cc gino is not for japan domestic market.. more to uk spec or export to other country but no to m'sia laa...

japan JDM Gino is still 659cc turbocharge and n/a...

yeah i heard that too... i think the most suitable boost for rh4 is 1 bar and below.. i've been boosting at 1.29 bar (using Blitz DSBC boost cont) and guess what? bearing pecah oledi laa... hahaha

i also have a friend with the same engine setup (882T) boosting over 1 bar and he also succeed in damaging his RH4... but he insist in replacing the turbo with the same spec because of the spool lor.. very quick.. but if td04 with a smaller hot side can spool very quick too...

my suggestion go for tdo4 lor... can withstand 2 bar. if rh4 makesure u boost below 1 bar

1st time i heard that turbine bearing can pecah when boosting over 1bar... wanna asking about stock turbo and boosting over 1bar... lat say... daily drive 1.3bar... is it will blow...???

happens to me & my friend... in acfk forums also they mentioned that RHF4 is not recommended to boost beyond 1 bar... mine 1.29bar... bearing pecah.. my friend 1.4bar.. oso pecah

read this...

ic.. ic... now i got it... it happen becoz ball bearing type turbo rite..?? is it all type ball bearing turbo the same..?? - cannot goin 4 more than 1.2++ bar....

not really laa... VF10/ VF8 turbo which was fitted succesfully (hybrid) on a B8 180 turbo can withstand more than 1.3bar constantly... not problem. i oso don;t have a bright idea regarding why RHF VF13/ VH14 cannot sustained high boost.. no money lor to buy back the same turbo & experiment...scared it'll kong again hehehe

go for td04 laa... wit small hot side. i think the td04 from pajero diesel suit L2.. no bearing... with no water rail install to the turbo it still can perform well..

for 882T might be different case since 882T has more exhaust output than a standard L2 660cc , 660cc on TD04 will suffer turbo lag like hell ... and spool speed ( time to full boost) will very slow ...
not sure 882T how fast the spooling and the lag...

for power hunger and dun care about the lag so the td04 still is the choice , but for daily driving , fast response and longer life (RHF4 has water cooling) should go for a RHF4 for a L2

usually if u have turbine or piston probem it is because of not enuff fuel. my car is using td04 turbine and i use it for daily drive. i set the boost at 1.5 bar for daily use short and long distance. it could go up to 2 bar max. to make sure that ur car can give enuff performance at hight boost and also can withstand the pressure. fuel, air and also cooling system need to be given serious attention. change to a low compression piston, it can withstand high boost. really work for me. and also change ur fuel pump, fuel injector, and also add a fuel regulater for that extra umphh!!!... lot of people just change the 'big' part without giving attention to the 'small' parts that really does support the 'big' part. to me that is the major problem with 'modders' nowadays. just giving my opinion based on my experience.

yup.. 882T has more exhaust output than 660T..no doubt about that. agree with u.. power hunger go for tdo4... response go for RHF4 VF13/ VF14 or u can get the RHB34 (not sure laa... tong turbo sell it) its a hybrid between B6 compressor and L2's hot side.. sure no lag... but the price..RM500 above i think.. or u got another choice.. starlet 4E's turbo.. my fren who's using 660T used it. got no problem until now (got water cooling too).. hehehe.. but he don;t dare to boost over 1 bar oso laa...
